Situated at the entrance and exit of downtown Boothbay Harbor, The Farmhouse boasts beauty of a New England style 3-story home located right off the main strip of town. The first floor has two cozy sitting rooms that are perfect for gathering in groups, watching television or for dedicated workspace. One of the sittings rooms has a queen murphy bed that can be dropped down for an extra place to sleep or for anyone who has difficulty going up and down stairs. There is a door between the two sitting rooms that you can close for privacy. Additionally, there is a newly-added kitchen and butlers pantry, a dining area, a full bath (with shower), and, my favorite, a sunroom. The sunroom is perfect for sipping your morning coffee as the first light starts to shine through. Pro tip: it’s also great for relaxing or curling up and reading a good book! Additionally, there is a workstation in the sunroom that is great for a space to work, if necessary. Once you make your way up to the second floor, on the right hand side you’ll find a full bath (with shower) stocked with towels and all the essentials (yes, ladies - that includes blow dryers!). Near the bathroom is a game room that has a futon, television, sink and mini fridge. There are two additional rooms on this floor. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a king bed - both are equipped with televisions with Apple TV and cable. The third floor has a set of steep stairs but takes you into a room with 2 twin beds. There is also a mini fridge and full bath (with shower) so you don’t have to walk down the stairs at night for a glass of water or to use the restroom. This room has 4 skylights that provide amazing light and beams that give it a cozy feel. The home is a duplex. Guests will have access to the entire main home, inclusive of the 3 floors and everything described in the description. There is a second basement unit that has a completely different entrance that is not available for access as a tenant lives there year round. The host is always available for questions and/or concerns as well as offering recommendations on local activities and day trips. Boothbay Harbor is a great destination for year-round visits. Whether it's warm or cold or if you're looking for adventure or just wanting to kickback, Boothbay Harbor has it all. The Farmhouse is located right off the main strip of town so you're within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops and a short drive to neighboring towns, must-see sights and activities. Walking is your best option for activities located in the harbor. If you plan on traveling out of the harbor and/or peninsula, you will need a car.
