-This 4 room suite is within walking distance of Shakespeare theaters, and 2 blocks from downtown Cedar City, but its also nestled at the base of the mountains where it is quiet and peaceful. About 6 years on the scene, this space is a token of passion. We hope to make sure you are enthralled with the experience. Here, thousands of hours of great art meets comfort, entertainment, National parks, —and a family that is very grateful for your support. Warmly, JD Hello all! So, this suite is what happens when a career metal sculptor decides to create a vacation rental. With the general theme of Vintage, industrial, and a bit of steam punk art, this space is customized to make sure your experience is full of intriguing delight. (Please read the pet rules if you are hoping to bring a pet. We want to allow them, but have implemented restrictions that just don’t work for some guests) WiFi is newly upgraded. Enjoy unlimited use at over 600 mbps! You will enter through a corridor of metal sculpted flora, many of which were done by the local scouts. A propane grill is there for your use. The front room is intended to be full of natural light and has plenty to see, with a few comfy places to sit, and a double sized pull out couch bed (which is not comfortable to sit on) --- but it's antique look was perfect for the theme, and the bed mattress is pretty good/acceptable for folks under 5’8”. Also, we have no quarrels with that extra tag along sleeping on the good couch in there. Comforters will be tucked away for both options. The kitchen area has all the standard dishes and appliances except a full sized oven, traded out for a toaster oven. There is a washer and dryer too. Coffee is provided. The bathroom might be seen with a delightful gasp. Spin a few circles and smile at the creative (and slightly bizarre I grant you) decor and steam art. A very large sunken tub is set underneath a 20 inch rain shower which has a lot of pressure and flow. The tub might be hard to step down into for those with special needs. Copper rails are set around the tub to help with lowering down into it, so don't be bashful to pull or push on the copper pipe rails to get in and out. The master bed/theatre room has a King size bed, and two twin beds, all set up to double as lounge couches for chilling out and watching movies on the 70 inch TV. You are welcome to swing the TV into room center and enjoy the moderately good surround sound. Netflix and Amazon are available by way of a Rocu streaming device as well as shelves of DVDs. All the mattresses are comfy memory foam, with down comforters and Egyptian 800 count cotton sheets/duvet covers. ---The "downer section" --- it is in the basement, But Hey, its the only place we had to share, and you might never again be more enthralled with a basement. Its definitely the coolest spot in our house! Also (for now) we have simple space heaters in each sleeping area. And--- the kids might make some noise above you. We have insulated very well, but, kids outside or stomping above, might remind you that you're not alone on the premises. We also have a young 30 pound Golden Doodle. She may bark at the gate to the back yard as you come and go. If you tell her "quiet" in a firm voice, there is a good chance she will obey. Perhaps we have overlooked some things that could be improved upon, and we will fully welcome your insights as the wrinkles are ironed out. Having said, we have really tried hard to consider your comfort, your good sleep, your location to attractions, your aesthetic joys, and your general satisfaction. Thank you so much for considering our space. The entrance to the space is on the north (or left) corner of the house. You can park on the north side of the circular driveway, under the big evergreens, or on the street. The suite is closed off from the rest of the house, so you will not be approached except it be by way of the front door. We will arrange for you to get keys with your reservation by way of meeting up, or a lock box if we are not around. The property is easy to find. It is 1/4 mile from the Herritage Theatre, and downtown shopping, and the golf course. Also, it is a good central location for folks who want to visit the Southern Utah national parks (20 minutes away from Zion National Park's north entrance, and less than 80 miles from Bryce Canyon) We are about 40 minutes away from Brian Head Resort, so, if you want to ride the UT powder, and still have some night action and shopping, Cedar City is a great option! We are at the base of a natural gem called Rainbow Canyon, which has incredible views, and excellent hiking and mountain biking loops for all skill levels. (if you'd like to borrow some mountain bikes, just let us know, or, bikes can be rented from Cedar Cycle for 20-40 dollars per day). The canyon base creates an area where we are free from the winds that blast through at times. There are also 4 public parks within 1/2 mile, all accessible by paved trail systems which hug the river and our veteran's memorial. Utah Summer Games? We are 300 ft from the baseball fields, and about a mile or two from the University venues. As a side note, I often go into Zion to hike and rappel the slot canyons. Its not possible all the time, but--- if you want a serious adventure, we often like the excuse to get out and explore these slot canyons. Maybe, we can take you if conditions permit. Lets talk about it? We are always available for a call or a text. If you have any issues, let us help. If we have overlooked some essential item, please let me know and I'll get it taken care of as soon as I can! The Neighborhood is generally peaceful and harmless. Traffic is minimal, and homes are most often quiet. Cab services are available, and public transportation is a van service that has normal routes and can do house calls for seniors. Here is their site: (URL HIDDEN) Please read the pet restrictions if you are hoping to bring an animal.
