Located in the Market District, this sunny apartment is close to York’s best art galleries, boutiques, and locally-owned restaurants. Perfect for extended stays, couples, and families, and spacious enough for small groups, too! Our spacious 1-bedroom apartment has a sunny and open main dining/living room with a fold-out full-size couch, a full kitchen, full bathroom (with a bathtub), a comfy and quiet bedroom (with sound machine and room darkening curtains), and a shared courtyard with a small garden. Entire apartment + courtyard with garden The Market District, which features the historic Central Market house, is a neighborhood alive with restaurants, cafes, breweries, bars, art galleries, and boutiques. Other features include catching a performance at the Appell Center, a ball game at PeoplesBank Park, or a tour of the Colonial Complex. If you need a place to work outside of the apartment, check out York's best co-working space, The Grotto. If you love to ride bikes you should check out the Heritage Rail Trail, a 20 mile car-free National Recreation Trail, which starts just a block away,. Our apartment is tucked half a block from the action, with the added benefit of some peace and quiet. Our apartment is ideally located for anyone who wants to avoid getting in the car during their stay. Most of York's destinations are within a quick, easy, and safe walk. Some of those that aren't as close – like York College, Glen Rock's Ruins Hall, or Steam Into History – can be accessed by bike from the Rail Trail. For those with a car, it's easy to find a place to park within a block of our place. Most of our guests prefer the on-street spaces that are typically available in front of the apartment and use the ParkMobile app to pay for parking for these. There is also a 24-hour parking lot for which you can use the ParkPoolr app. There are also other covered parking garages within a block of the apartment with many spaces available. The public garage charges from 8am-6:30pm on weekdays, but is free and safe to use in the off hours. Need parking? Most of our guests prefer to park on the street immediately in front of the apartment or at the St. John's Church parking lot (half a block away). The church lot is open 24hrs a day. Bringing a pet? We have dog bowls and doggie bags (and a treat or two) for our guests bringing along well-behaved four legged family members. We ask that you keep the back garden tidy out of respect for our fantastic neighbors. Check out the nearby off-leash dog park, Pal's Park, which is just an 8 minute walk away from the apartment. Bringing kids? For those traveling with infants or kids, we often stay here with our little ones and the apartment is set up to make your travels with kids a little bit easier. We have a variety of toys and activities in the bedroom closet along with a highchair, changing pad, pack n' play with sheets and blankets, and a stroller (mountain buggy nano). We keep a sound machine on the bedroom dresser for adults and kids alike. In the kitchen you will find kid’s cutlery and dishware. We have a step stool and potty seat in the bathroom for your convenience. There is a Rite Aid just a few blocks away (8am-6pm) where you can pick up diapers and other necessities.
