Ideal for families and small groups! Retreat from the bustle of everyday life and unwind in the tranquility of our unique A-frame home in quaint Essex Junction, Vermont. At just over 1,000 square feet, every inch of our A-Frame was thoughtfully designed to maximize space for your comfort and enjoyment. Conveniently located on a main road while abutting the Winooski river, this is the perfect hideaway to explore all that Vermont has to offer. In the summer, explore nearby hiking trails and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Vermont's landscapes. Lake Champlain, which is just a short distance away, offers opportunities for boating, kayaking, fishing, swimming or soaking up the sun on the beach. Our slice of Vermont shines particularly bright during the fall season, with stunning, vibrant foliage. In the winter, Essex transforms into a winter wonderland, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy thrilling adventures on the nearby ski slopes. With ski resorts like Bolton Valley and Smugglers' Notch only 20 minutes away, you can indulge in downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. For those seeking a taste of city life, Burlington, Vermont's largest city, is only 20 minutes away. Burlington has a vibrant arts scene, local restaurants, bars and breweries, cultural attractions and a lively waterfront. Main floor • Queen bedroom, including a home office setup with high speed wifi perfect for working from home (if you must!) • Fully stocked kitchen -- oven, stove, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, drip coffee pot (with complimentary start up coffee), tea kettle, cookware, serveware, dinnerware, etc. Please note, our appliances are not full size, but provide all you need cook in a small space. • Living room – sun filled space with a cozy couch and chairs, 50 inch smart TV with streaming capabilities and a Nintendo 64. • Full Bathroom with stand up shower • Laundry space – washer, dryer & complimentary laundry supplies • Door to back patio – back patio with bistro table seating, gas grill and Solo stove fire pit with an outdoor seating area. Upstairs Loft • Queen bedroom with two twin beds. (Please note this bedroom is up a very steep set of stairs that can be difficult for small children and those with mobility limitations.) Whether you're looking for outdoor pursuits, a peaceful retreat, or a taste of Vermont's rich culture, our home is the perfect spot for you to call home during your getaway. Guests have full access to the house with the exception of a couple locked storage spaces. While we strive to minimize guest disturbances, we regularly maintain our home and may conduct lawn care during reservations, particularly on weekdays or during longer stays. Only as needed, but always available. Please note we are located on a main road and we share a part of our driveway with an amazing farm (that offers a CSA program!). We are very close to the Winooski river and directly across from the Essex Green. While there is some potential for road noise, it tends to quiet down by the evening hours. We suggest a vehicle for exploring all that Essex Junction and the surrounding towns have to offer. We are dog friendly and there is a $125 dog fee, per dog (2 dogs max). This does not cover any damage or yard clean up and all dogs must be house trained. If you are bringing your pup along, we must know at the time of booking and prior to your arrival.
