Relax in this home on a river, surrounded by nature. Bethel offers a variety of recreation activities for year round outdoor enthusiasts. Spend the day golfing, hiking, mountain-biking, on the river or nearby lake, snowmobiling, or skiing at Sunday River, Mt. Abrams or Nordic center. Then gather in the dining room and start the party, with a gas fireplace in the living room for those cold nights. Comfortably sleeps 10 guests, with ample parking. In the summer, book a river trip on the property! The house has a large private lawn and access to the river. Photos show all 4 bedrooms (two on the lower level), two full bathrooms (one downstairs and one upstairs), kitchen, dining, and living room. A selection of cards and games are provided for guests to enjoy. Plenty of space for hanging your gear, and a laundry room with washer and dryer next to the kitchen. Open basement can be used for indoor play space. Garage has space to store equipment for skiing and other outdoor activities. Maine River Runners is a business on the other side of the property that rents paddle boards, tubes and kayaks, and provides shuttle service up river in the summer. You are welcome to use the waterfront and walk the trails on the property. You can book a trip on their website. Guests have access to the entire house! Feel free to use the laundry and basement for gym space or indoor games. Please feel free to call or text. I am nearby in the summer months. Take the paved recreation path across the street to a public basketball and pickleball court, skatepark and playground (summer and fall). Snowmobile access in the winter. River Lanes Bowling, and The Gem movie theater are less than half a mile away. Other recreation options within a 5-mile radius: Maine River Runners boat rentals on the property, Bethel Village trails, Mt. Abram Mountain Ski resort and Bike park, Sunday River Ski Resort. You can rent gear from Barker Mountain Bikes across the street. Hike or drive to waterfalls, swimming holes, and lakes to get the most out of this beautiful area! Lots of dine-in and take-out bars and restaurants in Bethel to choose from. Arrive by car! Feel free to park in the garage or driveway. Do not block the driveway to Maine River Runners Barn. Enough space for 6 cars to park. Bedding and towels provided. You may want to bring your choice of shampoo/conditioner as we only offer 1 choice.
