Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, one of the first cabins built in the original loop in Duck Creek. Nestled in the pines & aspens of a quiet mountain town, this historic gem is fully stocked with all the amenities of home. Great outdoor space for relaxing & cooking dinner around the campfire. Close proximity to many highlights of So. Utah's scenic landscape. National parks, hikes, lakes, freshwater fishing, incredible mountain views and over 100 miles of ATV & walking trails. This cozy cabin has two private bedrooms and a designated work space upstairs. A King mattress is in the primary bedroom while a Full mattress is in the second. In the main living area, a Queen size log-frame futon bed can accommodate two additional people, and a single person cot is available as well (not a twin mattress). There is one bathroom at the cabin with a shower. Enjoy the view from the covered front porch with a complimentary cup of morning coffee. The wood stove in the main living area is perfect for chilly mornings or rainy afternoons. The kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery, dinnerware and appliances including a stovetop, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Not recommended for small children due to accessible cleaning products, sharp utensils and steep hills. The outdoor space includes a fire pit, lean-to, hammock and yard space for walking, relaxing or cooking. Firewood is provided as well as campfire chairs which are stored in the orange bin under the lean to. Free high speed Wi-Fi is included in your stay as is a Smart TV loaded with free apps and the ability to sign into your favorite streaming accounts. Cell phone reception is great at the cabin, but can be spotty throughout the village. A short drive (or hike) down the hill will take you to the National Forest and it's trails, wildlife, streams and lakes in all directions. In town there are several shops, restaurants, ATV rentals and a gas station. Cedar Mountain True Value general store has the basics and is located @ 76 Movie Ranch Rd. There is parking for up to 3 vehicles on the property and two outdoor cameras on the property. One camera at the front entrance under the covered porch and one on the lean to in the driveway that points at the cabin's side entrances. Recommended to shop for food & groceries in Cedar City on the drive up. Most stores & restaurants close early. Chains on tires are required for travel up the mountain beginning Oct. 1st. Cars can make the drive no problem but be aware the roads in Duck Creek are not paved and are dirt & gravel. You will be renting the entire cabin, you will not share any part of this cabin with others. There are two outdoor cameras on the property. One camera at the front entrance under the covered porch and one on the lean to in the driveway that points at the cabin's side entrances. If you are bringing a pet they must be included on your listing and you must pay the pet fee.
