Recently-renovated first floor of two-family house with courtyard in lovely Fox Point section on the East Side of Providence RI. Set off the street, it's private and quiet. Walking distance to Brown and RISD, WaterFire, near downtown, shops, restaurants and amenities, and minutes from Highway 95 and 195. It's an eclectic mix with great warmth, and is filled with items from my travels and things I've collected over the years. It's off the street, the back house of a two-house lot, quiet and peaceful. But steps away from everything in Pvd. It's a two bedroom, and with living room queen-size futon, can accommodate six guests. If you'd like to book for 7, it only works if 1-2 are small kids. Also note that 2nd bedroom is a trundle that opens to king size. The entire apartment is yours! When you book, I’ll give you the code to digital lock on front door (rear door in kitchen for emergency). You can reach me or a designated person if you need assistance during your stay. The East Side is the place to be! Apart from wonderful historic houses in the area, it's a fun and easy walking city, with lots of energy in this friendly college neighborhood. Providence is known for fantastic restaurants, offering every cuisine you might desire, often within walking distance. Very conveniently located right off main highways. Amtrak and bus terminal are both less than a 10-minute drive away. And the East Side/downtown is great for walking around. STREET PARKING. Usually possible to park in front of house or within a block. Make sure to use guest parking pass to avoid ticket (only one pass available). COVID: All guests must be fully vaccinated, with the exception of small children. INSTANT BOOK: please read ALL guest requirements section to make sure you’re eligible before instant booking. (I’ve halted instant during Covid) EARLY CHECK-IN/OUT Depending on schedule, I can be flexible about check in/out times, but it isn’t guaranteed. However it's usually okay to drop off luggage earlier than check-in time. ACCOMMODATION There's a comfortable queen futon in the living room. Ceiling fans in kitchen, living and family rooms. A/C units in bedrooms. W/D is only available for stays of a week or more. NON-SMOKERS ONLY, a fine of $100 will be assessed for violations. FAMILIES Families with small children: I’m not offering baby items during covid. There are also fragile items, so my home isn’t ideal for extended stays with toddlers. LENGTH OF STAY - MINIMUM Two-night weekend minimum from May through October (unless <2 days before night requested, check with me). Three-night weekend booking required the following weekends: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and all college graduation and parents weekends. Contact me if you’re uncertain.
