Welcome to paradise and to our 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1161 sq. ft. condo located at Hale Pohaku. The large 25’ lanai puts you incredibly close to the water.  You’ll love the oceanfront dining and relaxing, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner while watching the dolphins, sea turtles and fish dance in the waves plus see the whales during season.  The lanai is fully covered, with a Hunter ceiling fan for your comfort, and is your own private place to see the incredible Kona sunsets. The sliding glass doors and screens in the living room slide back entirely into pockets, opening up the living room and kitchen to the lanai and oceanfront experience. The lanai overhangs the pool and you have an unobstructed view of the reef, bay, beautiful sunsets and sandy beach.Hale Pohaku was designed by award winning Hawaii architect Vladimir Ossipoff, called the “master of modern Hawaiian architecture”. It shares no common walls with other units, allowing flow through ventilation from the floor-to-ceiling louvers in every room. His unique design incorporates Kamaaina (local) style. The cool ocean breezes bring in the fresh air and are complimented by Hunter ceiling fans in each room, even the kitchen and master bathroom.  The complex feels very private with only 6 units sharing the oceanfront pool and covered parking.  The pool is light salt, eliminating the need for chlorine and feels much better on your suntanned skin. Inside our condo, you’ll find granite countertops, Koa cabinets and fresh, contemporary bathrooms.  The furniture and cal-king size beds in both the primary bedroom and second bedroom are custom crafted by a local artist and features the Honu (turtle) carved in the wood. The unit is fully stocked with linens and towels, and the kitchen has top end appliances and everything you need to prepare meals featuring local produce from the nearby farmers markets.  In the living room, you’ll find a 49” full HD TV, and audio system. Location, location, location!  The location is unique with a small white sand beach just steps away and your own private seawall gate to get there. Beyond the beach, there is a nice size wading area surrounded by lava and a coral reef. You could spend hours here in the water exploring or on the sand sun bathing. If you have children, they will love it when the turtles come over to the shore to visit. They are very curious and amazing to watch up close. And you’ll find other great beaches and surf spots close by. Finally, the oceanfront pool has plenty of patio furniture, shaded section and a grassy area for sunbathing, plus its own bathroom and shower.  These are a few of the many reasons Hawaiian royalty picked Kona as their home!We are close enough to town to walk (about a mile and a half), with lots of scenery to see along the way. You can head to town in the morning to have breakfast and then walk it off on the way back to the condo, followed by a swim to cool off.  You can also hop on the Kona-Keauhou trolley as a stop is only a block away. The open air Alii Gardens Marketplace is about ¼ mile away, with local crafts, coffee and foods.During the Kona Ironman in October, Hale Pohaku puts you right in the action as the triathletes train on Ali’i Drive. During the race, the athletes run south on Ali’i Drive, passing right by Hale Pohaku on their way to Keauhou. There they turn and head north again on Ali’i, passing Hale Pohaku a second time as they compete in the final leg of the Triathlon. Just set up your beach chair and cheer them on for the final leg of the Kona Ironman. We hope that you enjoy our new oceanfront paradise as much as we do!Minimum night varies seasonally between 4 - 10 nights. Kona Coast Vacations

Aloha and welcome to the Big Island. We are thankful to Hawaii and its peoples for allowing us to work and play on this great island. Kona Coast Vacations manages over 200 condos, homes and estates along the leeward (dry and sunny) side of the Big Island ( this island is named Hawaii, same name as the State). We are located right in Kailua Kona which is about 10 minutes south of the KOA (Kona) international airport. Most people include Kailua Kona, Keauhou, Kahaluu, and Holualoa, under the umbrella of the name Kona. We also have team members living near the resort area ( about 25 minutes north of the airport) which include Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, Hali'i Kai, Waikoloa Beach Resort (near the coast), Waikoloa Village (up mountain, about 15 minutes from the coast), etc. Our team of inspectors check the property before your arrival, after you depart, and we inspect the cleaners. If something is amiss, please let us know immediately on arrival and we will address your concerns ASAP. We are open seven days a week to assist guests and owners. We offer a concierge service, we have maps and recommendations on our web site and are here to answer your questions. Aloha and Mahalo The Team at Kona Coast Vacations
