Kailua beach is truly beautiful. Far away reef protects it from high waves, powered like soft sands invite for long walks and warm ocean is perfect for all sports activities. The weather is great all year round. Sometimes it rains, but we are on the dry side of the island.
Kailua is a small town with many hidden treasures. We have 18 international restaurants, many fast food outlets, a few grocery stores ( Foodland and Safeway are open 24 hours), a golf course, free tennis courts, 2 parks, free Olympic size pool, ridding stables, hiking trails and of course all water sports: kiting, kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, boogie boarding, surfing, canoeing. Take relaxing walks on 11 miles of this beautiful beach, or do absolutely nothing relaxing in this amazing spot in paradise.
Visit Pearl Harbor, Polynesian Center, Monoa Falls, Dimond Head, Honolulu Aquarium, Wet-n-Wild, International Center, hula shows. Swim with dolphins, watch the whales, see sharks or sting rays in organized adventures.
There are many museums, opera theatre, philharmonic hall and open artist shows.
