Wow! My family stayed at Hale Pono for our first vacation to Hawaii and we are thrilled to tell you to do the same. The nine of us had plenty of room to not be right on top of each other. The beach... amazing and very secluded! We cannot imagine staying anywhere else! We were close to so many great places to eat and do! Elyse was quick to respond and followed up with emails prior to our trip (which is calming when you’re from so far away!) Alix was super friendly and very helpful. You will love staying here, the master suite upstairs amazing! The kids had only 1 complaint... no air conditioning ( first world problems) .. we bought an extra fan(although they had plenty), and everyone was satisfied! The coastal breezes with the open windows made for great air and tranquil sounds... ahhh... We can not wait to return, we will absolutely be back to this beautiful home! Did I mention the master suite upstairs... be still my heart 😉.... Mahalo from Cincinnati, OH!! 💙❤️💚💜
My family and I stay on the North Shore of Oahu approximately every 6 months. We have stayed at Turtle Bay and many other VBROs over the last 10 years. We have stayed at Hale Pano several times now and found this home to be the perfect combination of location, size and amenities. Though I have a family of four, this home can easily accommodate 2 families. I have found the North Shore to be safe, but this is Hawaii and the double gates always give me the confidence that my family is safe. There is a gate for the community and one for the property itself. The check in and check out process is literally easier than that of a hotel. The property is located on the beach itself wherein you can walk from the sliding back window through the grass in the backyard to get to the beach. Walk on the path of lava slabs though as I made friends with some of the snails just off the path :)
This was a beautiful home on a beautiful beach on the north shore of Oahu. There was plenty of room for our two families while enjoying the view of the ocean in your backyard. The property was very clean upon our arrival. The two master suites were great for the adults and the two other rooms great for the kids both offering ample space. Kitchen area was very well appointed with everything you have in your kitchen at home. The beach is located right off the back yard and only 30 or so yards from the house. Beach was beautiful with nice sand and clear turquoise waters. Properly manager Alice Noda was awesome answering all our questions and the property owner also great at responding to all questions in a timely manner. Our families loved this vacation spot and hope to return again in the future. It’s rare to find this type of property that allows you easy access to the big city while being secluded enough to enjoy a quiet and relaxing day. Would highly recommend this as your families next vacation destination.
If there is a better house to rent on the North Shore, I haven't found it. You really can't beat a house and property of this size right on the beach. The beach out front is great, more secluded than Sunset or Pipeline, with mellow shorebreak protected by reef and an outer swell that surfers love. We even saw a sea turtle swimming right out front! We had wonderful dinners on the lanai with the sea breeze flowing over us. With no neighbors to the south, we felt so private. The twinkling lights in the trees were the perfect touch. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were nicely appointed. Every detail in the house was well thought out and lovingly appointed. We really felt like home! We will be back for sure!
this is a lovely, elegant home on the edge of a cove. it has privacy, views and open spaces. we are multi-generational family and everyone had their own space as well as gorgeous areas to join together. even cooking in this kitchen doesn't seem so much like a chore but a luxury. any issue that arose, the property manager was extremely reachable and helpful. we surfed, swam and hiked everyday. it is quite up on the north shore but we sought that out and made trips into haleiwa and the foodland was closer by. we loved it and hope to return (again).
Beautiful house right at my favor spot on the North Shore , Valzyland , quite and very clean cold not ask for something better than this .
We love this place: the location, the hosts, the house are all wonderful and make for a wonderful family vacation. We will return every year to make more life-long memories!
Large home offering great privacy for large groups. Beautiful beach and views. Loved having coffee on the beach each morning! A few cautions: the house can get hot, particularly during the day. Thankfully there is a great breeze at night, which makes it more tolerable. And there were extra fans available. Beach waves were quite strong making your typical leisurely swim more challenging. But the strength seemed to vary depending on the day.
Luxury & relaxation in a fabulous location with a great view ... Just what we were looking for & found at the beautiful "Hale Pono" on the North shore of Oahu. AS in interior designer, I was totally taken with the decor ... stylish & contemporary with a focus on comfort. We enjoyed the large open spaces with a color scheme taken from the sea blended with natural elements. The views are awesome ... we spent most of our time, breakfasts, lunches & dinners lounging on the generous veranda overlooking the beautiful aqua/blue Pacific. Serene & exciting describes it. the kitchen is a streamlined gourmet's dream. We also had a first class chef do dinner for us, a great treat, recommended by the owner. Altogether, it was totally satisfying holiday & I highly recommend it. We also enjoyed dining' the Turtle Bay Resort, nearby, hiking & swimming.
We were a party of 8 friends from Sydney and we could not have had a better week. The location was fantastic with just a short stroll to the beach. The view from back deck is beautiful and the sunsets spectacular. The property was very clean, beds comfortable, kitchen with all utensils and appliances. Short drive to Foodland for supplies. The North Shore area is very scenic and interesting. Would definitely recommend.
This was our second time choosing Hale Pono for our family vacation and stayed two weeks this time! It was as relaxing as I remembered and it is a pure slice of heaven in the North Shore of Oahu! Our favorite part of the house is the outside shower and it is incredible to shower at night and look up to see a blanket of a million stars. The house was just right for our family if 7, and we had plenty of space to find peace and relaxation. Elyse and Alix are both wonderful and helpful with any questions that we had and I look forward to staying at beautiful Hale Pono again!
We had a delightful time at this home. Everything was in good working order, the kitchen well-stocked with the latest appliances, the bathrooms and bedding clean and comfortable. We felt "at home". The home is nicely appointed; beautiful architecture with bamboo floors, cabinets; the lanais, the beach, the outdoor space inviting. The couch and chairs in the living space were clean and comfortable - not looking like another family had just been there before us. We have rented other homes and generally not found them acceptable in amenities and especially cleanliness. Our family vacations together each summer, and are delighted that our 3 adult girls and husbands still love to join us. We read books, played cards and games, and put the 500-piece puzzle "Cereals" together in 24 hours! I think we only had 2 meals out; couldn't miss the food trucks at Sharks Cove! We always took our sunset walk together down the beach - a perfect way to end the day. The caretaker was most helpful when we arrived and answered some questions during the week. We hardly saw her, and appreciated that she didn't feel the need to check on us. Very friendly and knowledgable. We will definitely return to Hale Pono.
We had a wonderful time staying at Hale Pone. We spent all our time on the beautiful back patio, yard, and beach. The house has everything you need to make the stay enjoyable. Alix was fantastic and welcoming. We walked everyday to Ted's and Bonzai Bowls - yummy. We enjoyed Shark's Cove, Turtle Bay and Waimea Bay. The house is perfect for couples to have their own space yet come together to enjoy the days and evenings. Highly recommend the house.
The house was beautiful, very clean, well appointed, and larger than it appears in the pictures. The surrounding yard is large, nicely landscaped and very private. The views are stunning, the beach pristine, perfect for swimming, walks, or sitting and reading by the ocean. The beach was almost always empty and at most, had one other family in the area, even on 4th of July. We had a great view on the beach of the fireworks from Turtle Bay Resort. The location is central to all North Shore attractions. Highly recommend and we plan to return.
This Oceanfront executive luxury home is fabulously appointed in a dream location in Sunset Beach colony. This was our second visit and we were just as amazed as the first. Quiet, great neighborhood, friendly and helpful manager and great attention to detail. We'll be back! Thank you!
Everything was perfect, start to finish. The team that runs the house are all so friendly and easy to work with. The house is beyond breath taking. It was so lovely to sit on the deck with a stunning view of the ocean. I can't stress enough how perfect our stay was. I will definitely be coming back!! Mahalo
This was our third visit to this house. Perfectly set up for 8 adults. Friends have been there with kids as well. If you like the sound of ocean waves, beautiful views and a quality home, this is the place for you.
Amazing location on the north shore, great beach and dream house. Best spot on the island.
This house is beyond anything the gorgeous pictures can convey. We stayed 8 nights and every second was amazing. Beautiful, clean, huge!! Awesome location. You feel instantly at peace. The owners were super helpful before, during, and after. I can't wait to get back to this peaceful paradise. Mahalo!
Our experience was good for the most part- great location, the on site property manager Alix was great. However, the house needs repair. The furniture looks tired and needs replacing. The water pressure is bad- the shower trickles down so that washing your hair is difficult. The tubs/showers do not drain. The doors do not latch and therefore cannot be locked.
Although the photos present the house to be stunning, even those beautiful photographs don't do this house justice. This home is absolutely beautiful, only made better by the view that you get to see from the many windows. I could stay in this house for the rest of my life and be perfectly content. You can hike, relax on the beach, or do whatever you want so easily. You practically have your own private beach which is great too. There is just no possible way to make this home any more beautiful! I cannot wait to go back ASAP! Thank you!!!
Hard to add more to what has already been written. This house in a gated community makes the rest of the world and its issues go away. Notwithstanding that there are public access paths to,he beach at either end of the Lon sandy beach, essentially you have your own private beach just steps away from the lawn. And the house is elegant, serene, and perfect for a large family as we were. We look forward to coming back.
Just and easy and relaxing time at a beautiful home on the beach!
This was our fourth visit in this beautiful home and we can't wait to return. The beach is the most private beach on Oahu. I can't think of another place to relax and have a wonderful vacation !
Our stay here was pretty much the best. We stayed for three weeks and loved every minute of it. The house is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Take a look at the pictures, they are what you see. The last week we were here the waves got really big and you could see all the professional surfers out in the water. what a treat. Our children had a great time playing in the sand and running around in the yard. there are plenty of kid toys at the house, no need to buy or bring any yourself. We actually left all our kid toys for the next families that come. We also left a little raft! enjoy! the location is great too. just a short walk to a few local eats and a short drive to haleiwa where you can find many great eats and local tourist shopping. This house is also 5 minutes from turtlebay resort which is wonderful to walk around. We loved every minute of our stay. The on premise washer dryer was great to have and very convenient. There are fans in every room and the sounds of the waves are endless. The best part is also the outdoor shower!!! We would definitely come again and we look forward to our next trip. Thank you!!!
I spent a week at Hale Ponu, and let me just say, it was not long enough! Everything about the house was incredible - the decor, the location and just the all around ambience! I started each day of my trip by sitting on the balcony, listening to the waves and enjoying a cup of coffee. I loved that this home is on the beach, and that I was able to discover a few different fun (and safe) places to swim that were within walking distance from the home. I also really enjoyed using the outdoor shower after a long day spent in the ocean. The homeowners we very quick to answer any questions I had during my stay there which I was very appreciative of. I would highly recommend staying here with a big family/a large group because it is very spacious and has plenty of comfortable beds to sleep in! This home truly captures the essence of the North Shore and I look forward to my next visit.
The pictures don't do this house justice. It is absolutely beautiful, perfect location easy access to anything you need. Homeowner and care taker were quick to answer any questions we had. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony off the master suite upstairs, watching the waves and enjoying the sunrise. We had a group of 9 staying at the house and had no issues at all with space. We are already planning our next trip. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants the perfect getaway on Oahu.
Our family of 4 had an outstanding stay at Hale Pono! Beautiful location right on the water with effectively a private beach. Kids had a great time in the water and lots of things to do nearby: tide pools, Waimea Falls, cultural center. Home was beautiful with a spectacular master suite and a separate suites for all the other bedrooms. Found the living area perfect. Great communication by the owner and care taker. Highly recommended.
This was the second stay for our family of 10 (including two grands) at Hale Pono. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on "our" beach every day - even during the storms, the sun always manages to come out! We love that every family has their own bed and bath and that there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Elyse and John were extremely responsive and easy to work with. This was our third trip to Sunset Beach and has become our vacation tradition. We look forward to returning next year!
Our trip to Oahu was made perfect as a result of this beautiful home. It was exactly as represented on the website. Elyse was wonderful to work with and the property manager, John, was very responsive and helpful. The house itself is amazing and located in a great part of the island with a private beach right out the back door. Beautiful views of the sunset, plenty of space to spread out, and an abundance of windows throughout the home made it ideal for our trip. Enjoyed every minute of the vacation and would definitely visit again.
The house is spacious and can hold 4 couples with total privacy or a very large family. It's on a beautiful beach that doesn't ever get crowded and we have stayed there several times. Fabulous kitchen and outdoor space as well. Can't say enough great things about it !
Elyse The house was everything we hoped for. Everyone had a great time, we have been to Oahu 4 or 5 times and this was by far the best stay. When we plan the next trip will let you know, thanks for letting us use the home, very beautiful.
Had a great first class time. Mega georgous house, I mean compound! Very private. Beautiful beach area! We will defiantly be back once I get the miles on my Hawaiian Airlines CC. Lol ... Thanks for making this part of paradise available!
The home was beautiful!! Having the privacy of your own beach right out your back door was great!! We would highly recommend this property!! The owner was great to work with and the contact person on the island was very helpful!! Hope to go back again some day.
Our time here was so wonderful & we thoroughly enjoyed your home. We couldn't have found a more amazing place to honor my son's college graduation from UofH & my mom's retirement. Everything worked out so perfectly that we'll definitely be back!! Let's just say if we didn't have plans to be in Kauai & Maui we'd definitely would have stayed longer as it was hard to leave such an inviting & lovely home in paradise! Again, thank you, thank you!!
It was for my 50th birthday I planned our stay at Hale Pono. It was a “once in a lifetime” opportunity to spend time with my parents. My father, a 74-year-old die hard surfer could not wait to get back to the island to surf it’s waves, perhaps one last time, and the waves did not disappoint! Also joining us was my uncle, also a die-hard surfer, and my aunt, from Ojai, CA. My significant other, Joe (known as “Saki Joe” after this trip) and I planned the vacation, so we could spend time together, as a family. As I began to research the perfect spot for our stay, I came across Hale Pono and I immediately found myself very intrigued with this island estate. With its two VERY large master suites, and two queen ensuites, this property had more than enough space. The clean, uncluttered, simple & sophisticated décor was exactly what I was looking for! Windows, lighting, furnishings… every detail fine-tuned with an extreme attention to detail! We found ourselves very comfortable and accommodated in this estate! The kitchen provided everything you could possibly need to prep, create and serve up wonderful family meals. Granite counter tops on every surface in the estate, all the appliances of the highest quality! You’ll also find modern fixtures, stones & tiles in all the luxury bath rooms, (5 to be exact!) A spacious laundry room & walk-in food pantry in the kitchen round out the experience of being in a home, versus a hotel. You can tell… the owners of this property have very high-end taste, and only choose the best for this truly one of a kind home. The exclusivity of this property is very impressive. It sits behind two sets of gates, one that leads you into the “Sunset Colony” enclave of private homes. Behind these gates sits the most pristine homes on the North Shore, (with neighbors who’s names you would recognize, but I’m not one to gossip ;). Beyond that, Hale Pono sits behind its own private gate, leading you onto the estate property, spanning from King Kamehameha Blvd to the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by lush tropical foliage, this was the perfect place for seclusion, and to hit the beach! No beach traffic and onlookers to invade our tropical escape… just the occasional “local” strolling by. Working with the owners of the property was a very laid back, accommodating and easy process. They were eager to make sure that our stay was memorable, and not overly complicated. When I say they accommodated us, they really did!
You couldn't dream a grander house in a more spectacular setting if you tried! The house itself is a masterpiece, comfortable, beautifully furnished with an attention to every detail, and designed to let you embrace the ocean no matter where you are in the house. We were hooked from the moment we opened the front door, when our gaze swept down the large hallway accross the entire width of the house to rest on the budha, and the ocean behind him. Our time at Hale Pono was a dream: constantly breathtaking scenery, walks along the almost deserted beach, watching the daring surfers from the deck, and enjoying delicious local organic food and fruit. Thank you Elyse for sharing your home, and thank you John for taking such good care of us!
Absolutely amazing weekend getaway! We stayed for two nights and didn't leave the property until we had to tear ourselves away! We've never stayed in such a comfortable vacation rental. The beds were so comfortable, and amazing quality - well all slept amazingly. The beach is beautiful, clean and close to empty. Surfing out at Freddie's was a highlight, especially since it took only a few steps to get back to the property and the hot outdoor shower. Best stay-cation ever!
My family had the wonderful opportunity to stay at Hale Pono for 16 days! It was glorious! I have rented several homes in the Sunset Beach area and this was superb. Great location, everything in the house is high end, furniture, beds are super comfortable, linens and towels are high end, appliances, dishes and utensils, TV, ceiling fans, Bose surround sound speakers to listen to Hawaiian music, everything that ensures guests have a wonderful and comfortable environment to enjoy their vacation. It was a treat that all bedrooms had their own bathroom! And the master suite -- wow! The entire upstairs is the master bedroom! The views from the master bedroom and lania, and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean is such a treat. Make sure you plug in the lights in the backyard that hangs on the Kukui nut tree. It makes for a beautiful ambiance when you sit in the lanai in the evening. The location of the home is also superb. The beach that is directly behind the home is great for swimming. White sand, not rocky, and close to many fine establishments including Teds Bakery (walking distance) and Foodland (short drive). I absolutely love sunset beach and this home is right in the heart of that beach. Elyse was great to work with and very honest. John, our local contact, was truly wonderful. He was extremely responsive and exuded that "aloha" spirit. If you are looking for a high end beach rental that provides a lot of space and spectacular views, don't hesitate to rent this beautiful home. PS - One thing that I didn't realize when I rented is that the house does not have air conditioning (central air or window units). It was fine for me, the sliding doors and windows allow you to get the ocean breeze, and ceiling fans ensure air was constantly circulating. However my husband did miss it. So if you have a sensitivity to not having AC you should be prepared that this house does not have it. Also many beach houses do not have AC so this is not at all unusual and it would not personally prevent me from renting this property again in the future.
Hi Elyse: I just wanted to let you know what a fabulous time we had at your BEAUTIFUL home on the North Shore! From the moment we walked thru the door we knew Hale Pono was the perfect place for us. With 8 adults and 1 child there was plenty of room for everyone. We absolutely loved the peacefulness of the property and the sandy beach was incredible. We rented bikes from North Shore Bike Rentals and a crib from Paradise Baby Co. Both awesome companies to work with. We had massages on site from North Shore Mobile Massage. Edie and Noelle were fantastic! One of our best vacations ever. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.
What a true gem of a property! We were in awe from the moment we walked into that gorgeous entryway and were greeted with an amazing ocean view. From the gigantic "sofa island" in the living room to the fully stocked designer kitchen, the house truly captures that sense of relaxation that embodies the North Shore yet still allows you to enjoy all the modern amenities we've become accustomed to. Wifi was blazing fast, downstairs Smart TV had Netflix already logged in, and the indoor/outdoor Bose sound system kept the mood perfectly no matter where we lounged. We loved stepping out from the yard directly onto the beautiful white sand beach to enjoy our sunset walks each evening then returning home to dine under the stars on the huge outdoor deck. Falling asleep to the hypnotic sound of the Pacific ocean and waking up to that incredible master bedroom view was an experience that we will never forget. Close to all the attractions the North Shore has to offer yet fully equipped to stay put and just take a break from it all, Hale Pono had the best of both worlds and was our own slice of paradise. We can't wait to return one day!
This house is amazing! We came with 4 couples for a get-a-way and we were so pleased that we chose this house. We felt like the pictures don't do it justice and were so pleasantly surprised. It was clean and comfortable with an abundance of amenities. Comfortable beds and seating with a well stocked kitchen and plenty of room for everything and everyone. Beautiful views and awesome proximity to the beach. Our only complaints would be no air conditioning (which we know is common for Hawaii) and the TV in the main room is Netflix only (wish it had cable) - but hey, your in Hawaii so who needs TV right?!?!
This was our third time at Hale Pono. Everytime it seems to get better. From the minute you walk in to the “Oh My God!” view, you feel the peacefulness and beauty of this house. Lying on the chaise in the living room with a good book, overlooking the garden and the ocean, and feeling the cool breezes blowing through the open windows is paradise itself. We all felt so private in our own bedrooms with our own bathrooms and yet when we wanted to be together there is the large open living space, and the dining table on the lanai where you can sip your wine and watch the sun set. We swam with the turtles in front of the house , and walked to Ted’s Bakery for donuts every morning. Hale Pono is truly Heaven on Earth.
Truly one of the best vacation spots we have ever been to! The peaceful setting and spectacular views, along with close proximity to all the North Shore highlights made this truly what a vacation is all about! The house had all the comforts of home, we rarely left it. We will miss the long walks on the beach and the beautiful sunsets from the lanai... We would definitely come back again!
When you arrive at this beach front home, you are greeted at a very secure gate which gave me instantly a peace of mind. You meander slowly down the drive and your first view is of the beautiful garden along the property boundary. We got out of the car and observed the expansive amount of space this estate has. The steps leading up to this home were at least 15 feet wide with what looked like flagstone for material. We walked up to the double doors and they were made out of some kind of beautiful glass material. The entryway runs the length of the home and you are welcomed by the sky blue ocean at the end of the hallway. The Bedrooms are very spacious with large windows so you can feel the breeze of the ocean throughout the house. Each bedroom has its own private Lani which makes it cozy. Once you walk down the entryway you are in a massive open kitchen, living room, and dining room. The kitchen has a large pantry and the refrigerator is a nice size. The one thing I thought was a plus was she has a smart TV in the living room and we were able to access Netflix among other services. The windows at the back of the home gives you full panoramic view of the ocean. Once you step onto the patio you know why you are here. The sounds of the waves and the breeze sold me on this place. The patio is very spacious with loungers and the patio table makes it an ideal place for family get togethers. I have a 3 year old granddaughter and she loved the sand toys. I almost forgot about the upstairs. It is an entire suite and very large. Has a walk in closet/dressing room huge bathroom and the tub/shower were impressive. We had 5 adults and 1 child and was very comfortable. Everyone had there own favorite spot to retire to in the evening during our quiet time. I loved this place and will Cherish the memories there. Thank you Elyse and John for making my stay exquisite.
We truly enjoyed our week at Hale Pono. The house is beautiful and right on the beach. The location is private yet close to shopping and other activities. The view of the ocean from the back deck at sunset is amazing. All of our needs were taken care of. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the water right behind the house. This was a wonderful vacation and we are looking forward to returning soon. We had an amazing vacation with our
My family and I had the absolute best time. Everything at the home was working well. We loved your home, it is very spacious & accommodating of all ages (my grandkids go from 10 months-16 years old). We are planning our next Oahu vacation in 2 years & hope that we can rent your beautiful home again.
I have to say that the stay at Hale Pono was better than I anticipated it would be. The home is spectacular and as nice or nicer than the pictures depicted. I have rented many beach homes in Hawaii, and this one was perfect for our family of 8 people. I look forward to renting again in the future!!!
Life at Sunset Beach could not be better. This was my third visit to the property. Each year is better than the last and I am looking forward to many more annual visits. Everything, from the attentive staff, to the location and amenities is the absolute best. Great times on the North Shore! We left relaxed and totally rejuvenated - and looking forward to many more return visits.
I cannot begin to say enough positive words about our stay at Hale Pono. Everything on the VRBO site is correct, except that the site just cannot put into words how truly amazing this property is. We could not have found a more perfect location, for example. North Shore was ideal for our vacation as we wanted true relaxation with the opportunity to be close enough to travel around if we chose. Hale Pono is located in a gated community, with a gate to enter the property as well. We felt absolutely safe with such great privacy. Truly, aside from a few runs to the grocery store, there was no reason to leave (okay, a few treks across the street to Ted's Bakery and a few food trucks!:-). Sunset Beach was a perfect community for what we were looking for and Hale Pono's location was ideas. We did go down to Honolulu two days - one day for para sailing and another for a tour of Pearl Harbor, but it was only about 45 minutes down there and I would rather have stayed at Sunset Beach then down in the chaos of Waikiki. The beach is beautiful and how perfect to just walk right outside onto what seemed like a private beach all of the time. The beach directly outside the home was one of the best in regards to wave and sand so our kids loved it right there. Our first morning was Easter and all of our kids were playing on the beach, swimming in the ocean by 6:00am. Truly lovely! As for the home, we loved the common areas, as there were many times our family spend together playing cards and preparing meals. However, the home is large enough (without question, lots of space!!) for everyone to go and do his/her own thing also. We cooked and grilled every dinner at the house and ate on the back patio every night for dinner. It has everything you need for cooking and dining! I could continue gushing about the beautiful grounds and the home itself! It was absolutely perfect for us. We had both of our mothers with us and our three kids (age 16, 11 and 11) and my husband and I. There was more than enough room. I would recommend this property without any reservations! If you want relaxation, tropical beauty and beautiful rooms and home, this is the place for you! One more quick note, John and Elyse were absolutely wonderful. So prompt in their responses and communication! An excellent transaction and vacation experience!
excellent location and really nice house on the mellow north shore.
We had a wonderful family vacation at Hale Pono. Fantastic beach and bay right out front, with surf spots and snorkeling. Our 15 month old loved the backyard, and the gate on the property ensured his safety. Close by to everything you need. Also, we saw whales every morning from the Lanai! Out best stay yet on Oahu!
What can one say to capture the allure of Hale Pono and the North Shore? In no time, once at Hale Pono, one is provided with more than ample evidence that the venue is superb. Indeed, everyone agreed that pictures cannot do justice to the private and ideal location, the overall calmness, the quality of the structural design, and the sense of overall comfort that comes with being at Hale Pono. It takes a week or two to realize that the North Shore aura is special…that it is different in positive ways. What about the North Shore defines it as special? Or, stated differently, which of the following statements would be required in the Wikipedia description of the North Shore? 1.Everyone walking or biking on the trail smiles and acknowledges you 2.Everyone is fit and tan 3.Food is called Grindz 4.Barefoot grocery shopping is permitted 5.All of the above. What can one say? All of the above. phil kendall
The location of the house was great, as were the amenities, and we can hardly wait to come back to the North Shore and stay again at the Hale Pono!
We had a wonderful time and the house was absolutely perfect. John Farr was very attentive, when the microwave stopped working he had a replacement there that afternoon. As far as the storm was concerned, we never lost power, but there were plenty of candles just in case. The owners even called to check on us, so thoughtful. Could not find a more perfect setting for a family holiday. No schedules, no worries. Thank You again
This was a world class experience with a 1 of a kind spectacular view. The house has a master suite on 2nd floor with Balcony that I had my coffee on every sunrise. The 3 downstairs bedrooms are like suites with bathrooms in each. We cooked in this luxurious Kitchen and dined outside under the moonlight and stars every magical night. The photos are true to fact, though better when smelling the North Shore Ocean breeze through this home away from home in Paradise:) The Owner is lovely, and goes way above and beyond to please the guests.
Thank you so much for the loan of your BEAUTIFUL home. I actually nearly cried when i saw the beach view for the very first time. SPECTACULAR, MAGNIFICENT, AWESOME, BRILLIANT and many more words that just cannot convey fully, just how breathtakingly beautiful this home truly is. All of our group were in awe and all agreed that we would all book again and that a hotel room just does not compare to the standard that was set by staying at this home. It was a dream vacation. Thank you Elyse for sharing your home.
This house could not have fit our mufti-generational family better! From our 10-month old granddaughter to her 93-year old great grandmother the house was easy to get around in and very safe. The house had everything we needed and then some....our family was very sad to leave.
This was the second summer our family of 9 spent at the Sunset Beach Colony and we were once again, not disappointed! Hale Pono is everything it is advertised to be - clean, spacious, comfortable and right on the beach. The beach is very private, nice white sand and great areas for swimming, riding the waves or floating on a boogie board. The outdoor shower was perfect; the beds were super comfortable and the back sliders all open to let in the ocean breezes and sounds of the waves crashing. Very peaceful - we didn't leave except for two dinners out the whole 10 days we were there. Location is great for local grocery shopping, restaurants and scenic attractions if that is what you want. Highly recommend this place!!!!
The home was so welcoming and comfortable - the minute we arrived we felt like we were where we should be! It is conveniently located for drives to Turtle Bay, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Haleiwa and an hour from the Honolulu airport. We would return in a minute! The property was picture perfect.
This time for me was a return visit to Hali Pono. My first visit was one that I could not stop talking about which lead to this visit with friends that wanted the experience I had raved about. The house, the location and the management was once again perfect and spot on. My friends were in awe of how everything I had talked about unfolded before them as we took in the sunrises, sunsets, snorkeling with the turtles, watching as a group of dolphins made their way up the coast while we were having breakfast one morning, going on bike rides and discovering places to hike or just sit and enjoy everything around you. The house is within minutes of anything and everything North Shore has to offer but my favorite times are just staying home and enjoying the house with friends, cooking something to eat and sharing conversations while in this very special place.
Stayed here with friends and it was an absolutely stunning, relaxing, fun wonderful trip. Due in no small part to this fantastic home in a stunning location.
We loved your amazing beach house! It was everything you said and more. John was very helpful accomodating.Everything was close by, such a great location. We had a blast! Would love to go back! Thanks Again
We stayed in this magnificent beachside home as a family group attending our sons wedding on the North Shore. Elyse was so very helpful right from my initial email as we were organizing ceremony dates and venue. Our family lives on the coast in Australia but nothing prepared us for the beauty that we were privileged to each sunset. The beach was amazing - very quiet and virtually our own on most days. Turtles swam in to say hello and the whole experience will be one we will never ever forget. We barbecued on the huge front deck most nights - Turtle Bay Resort is close if you wish to eat out but we couldn't get enough of our private piece of paradise. Not even the 2 hurricanes that were looming in on our special day could dampen our spirits. Our daughter and her boyfriend hired bikes and rode the beautiful cycleway each day Thankyou again Elyse for your care and quick responses to any of my questions.
A lovely big luxury home on one of the most beautiful beaches on the North Shore. It had all the amenities we were looking for and then some. A spacious patio overlooking the sea was a great place to hang out and enjoy the view, especially in the evening. We loved it and hope to return to this special place someday.
We returned after honeymooning at Hale Pono last year, incredible like we remembered! So tranquil, beautiful, comfortable, inviting...we couldn't get enough and hate to leave. We walked the beach, snorkeled, boogie-boarded at the point...Ted's hupia pies, BBQ on the deck. It doesn't get any better. Cannot wait to get back for another slice of heaven!
This is an excellent location and very well built house. The grounds are immaculate with great access to a beach that almost seems private. Lots of room, the beds are very comfortable. John, the local property manager, was extremely helpful.
This was just the vacation we were looking for!!! We spent 8 days in this home visiting family that lives in Honolulu. We loved this beautiful home and location. The property was exactly as described, spacious, clean and a well-equipped beachfront home. This home meet the needs and expectation for our group of 8 people from age 9 to 73. Had great communication with homeowner and property manager. We would definitely rent this property again and would recommend this property to family and friends. Thank you Elyse for everything you were wonderful!
This is a perfect home for large families, or 2 families to share. We spent 8 days sharing this home with friends for Spring Break in mid April (5 kids total). This is a perfect location on the North Shore near Sunset Beach. The beach out front was very private and we were able to swim, ride waves, snorkel, and watch local surfers near by. Walking distance to Ted's Bakery and Haupie Pie ! The pictures online don't do this home justice - it is beautiful. An incredible master suite on the top floor, and a second Master on the main floor. Every bedroom has a bathroom which works great for teens. The large open kitchen and living room area have beautiful ocean views and open to an awesome Deck and beautiful yard. It has all the amenities you need. We have stayed in 3 homes on the North Shore thru VRBO, and this was the best home yet. We love staying on the North Shore as a home base when visiting Oahu to experience the relaxed Hawaiian lifestyle, best beaches, and lots of activities near by.
My family and I stayed here in April 2014 and we couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and beautiful home! The home is so beautiful in the photos but even better in person. Everything we did and needed was so close and the place was very private!!! The whole upstairs is a master suite that is to die for and every room downstairs is a master suite!!! Such a beautiful property and the beach is breathtaking. You can count on a beautiful sunset every night! We will definitely be back.
We were absolutely in love with this house and garden. As our oldest son lives on the North Shore, we were familiar with it and the beaches , etc. But we wanted something special as we were there for our second sons marriage at LuLu Palms. The house is so spacious, and lovely. The view and garden are amazing. The kitchen well equipped and the caretaker very helpful. All in all a magical week.
I must say that our experience here during our vacation to the North Shore of Oahu was more than we ever could have wished for. This house had it all. Spacious, Romantic, Scenic, Peaceful, and most of all Relaxing. I will dream of that view for many years to come.
My family consisted of 7 and we travelled from Australia. The house was spectacular so much room it was amazing just beautiful. We had a few laughs about the dolphin tap wear it was so cute. The gardens were very well kept. The surf was just right in front of the house which suited my surfing family. The friendly gardener gave us a few tips of where to surf too. We had an awesome holiday. We loved it so much we wished we didn't have to leave. Hoping to organise another holiday there soon. Elyse and John were both so approachable, friendly and helpful. Mahalo.
What an incredible vacation! Our stay at Hale Pono was fantastic! The house was better than we could have hoped for. Plenty of room and lots of privacy. With the beach so close, we were able to relax and reconnect as a family since we didn't have to rush around and pack then drive to the beach and fight for a parking spot. This house provided us an incredible family vacation that we will all remember and relive for years to come. This house is on the north shore and will appeal to those seeking a calm, relaxing, beach-going vacation. Turtle Bay is not far up the road, but not much else besides the shrimp trucks. The grocery store is close and convenient. One of my favorite aspects of this vacation was making dinner as a family then enjoying it and the nightly breeze on the lanai. The beach is beautiful and most days we had it to ourselves. My husband and son snorkeled every day and were impressed with the amount of fish they could see right out our back door. We were visited by turtles every day and enjoyed gorgeous sunsets every night. Thank you for such an amazing vacation!
Hale Pono is a virtual paradise! The beach, the location (between Haleiwa and Turtle Bay) is ideal. Whether you enjoy quiet walks on the beach, snorkeling, jet skiing, golf or simply reading a book, this destination has it all. I have already booked a return visit along with my group of friends.
We spent 12 amazing days on our honeymoon at this enchanted spot! Incredible beauty all around, spacious, PRIVATE, luxurious home, fantastic kitchen and furnishings. Great snorkeling to the left.. boogie boarding to the right.. beach walks for miles in each direction, turtles.. whales breaching in the distance.. dinner on the lanai every night.. "Louie" the tame dove that visits during our sunbathing on the private grassy yard.. the churning, comforting surf and warm breezes at night.. VERY comfortable bed!!! You can check the surf from the shower upstairs! We are ruined for any other spot on any other island.. THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB!
To be brief..... this house is just about peeeerrrrrfeeeeeecccct ! Thank goodness that my wife had the chance to actually visit the N. Shore months before our trip and scope out many of the possibilities for luxury beach front homes for rent. She made the right choice. This house has got it all. Our son was getting married at a nearby site and this place filled the bill as the center of pre and post wedding activities. Everybody who visited loved the house and the setting. The home is fully equipped. Even extra snorkeling gear in the outside (hot water) shower area My only suggestion is that they make the master bedroom suite a little larger. (when you visit you'll understand my joke!). .A most enjoyable experience and we hope to return again.
our family just loved this piece of paradise we will be back for sure!! it was perfect
Our stay was excellent. The house is well designed for multiple families. The island breezes flow throughtout the house. Outdoor dining and surround sound stereo is a perfect touch. Outdoor shower under the stars at night is must. The beach is several steps from the back lawn area to watch the sunsets. The property manager was very responsive and helpful during our stay.
We have been vacationing on the north shore off and on for the last 13 years and love the people, the scenery, and the relative remote beauty the north shore offers. Considering how developed the Island is, the north shore offers a glimpse of days past. From the beautiful beach we saw a rare hawaiian monk seal swimming just within a flippers touch to the sand, turtles are abundant, and for the first time sitting on the sand I saw a marlin or a sail fish in full breach feasting in a bait ball. Hale Pono is a truly a beautiful and well constructed home which added to our sense of peace and well being. So often rental homes, we have experienced homes in wonderful settings, where something is just not right.... The furniture is uncomfortable, inadequate for our family, or the beds are old and abused, or the kitchen is not really functional to feed a family of 6. This is not the case with Hale Pono! Hale Pono is perfect. Comfortable for a family to lounge, rest, play, read, listen to music, watch movies, cook, and play! We all loved it, and wished we extended our stay. The beach is beautiful as we enjoyed swimming daily in the bay or surfing at velzey.... One wonderful touch we truly valued since we arrived close to midnight, John the property manager, met us at the house to let us in and showed us around. It's always a little tricky finding a new house you have never been at in the early morning hours. John was fantastic and did us a huge favor returning my wife's favorite pillow. Thank you! Thank you we plan to return
Our stay at Hale Pono was wonderful! We loved staying in such a beautiful house with its amazing ocean views. There was more than enough space for our group of 8. The house is casual, yet luxurious. The floor plan is great-large common areas and each bedroom has its own bathroom and lanai. There are lots of windows and doors to keep the house breezy and cool. We loved relaxing on the huge lanai overlooking the beautiful yard and ocean. The kids loved playing in the waves at the beach. Most of the time, we felt like we had a private beach. The beach is very accessible as there are stepping stones from the yard to the beach. The outdoor shower with hot and cold water is perfect for washing off sand after the beach. We loved the location, a quiet, gated neighborhood--so easy to go to the shrimp places, surf lessons, Haleiwa and of course Ted's Bakery. John was helpful and friendly when getting us settled into the house and Elyse was very helpful in setting up our stay by answering all of my questions promptly. We loved the house and hope to return again.
The pictures from the website are nice, but really do not do justice to this property. Booked this house for a family vacation. We knew the place would be big enough, but didnt have a sense of how comfortable the place would be. I can say that this place feels like home in every sense of the word. First there is wow factor from the moment you walk in. Wide hallways frame an amazing view of the ocean and the beach. The yards are very well kept with lush green grass and tropical plants and flowers. There is even a hot outdoor shower to wash off the sand after a day at the beach. So, why do I say "home." There are some places that are decorated to rent. Leftover furniture, low end appliances and poorly appointed in terms of amenities. Hale Pono is definitely not that. The place looked like it was decorated for someone to live as a home. High end appliances (dishwasher so quiet, you cant tell its on) tasteful cabinets and furniture. Also the place was stocked with just about everything you would need. Salt, pepper, cooking oil, bug spray, games for the kids, CDs...it is pretty much all there. We pretty much bought food and we were good to go. There were even a set of fins for snokeling and a few bikes which you can take for rides. The location is amazing. walk out of the back door and in about 20 meters you are on the sand. Since it is on sunset beach, you are treated to a different looking but beautiful sunset every night. I didnt see more than 5 other people on the beach at any point. The privacy was so nice. Lastly, there are very cool north shore spots such as the shrimp trucks and beautiful beaches on the east side fo the island. Most people that camp out in Waikiki never get to see these spots. They are only 15 minutes drive away. Overall, we had an amazing and memorable holiday. The team at hale pono were so easy to work with, but more importantly the house felt like home. While sitting on the deck overlooking the beach, my father in law would say in our native language (I am going to butcher the translation) that the experience was soothing to the soul. That pretty much sums it up...Soothing--what more can you ask for in a beach holiday.
We felt so fortunate to stay in such a beautiful home during our vacation to the North Shore!! The pictures were so wonderful, we knew we were in for something good. However, when we arrived - we were amazed at how peaceful and beautiful this home is! The views from every angle were spectacular...the lush green vegetation....the beautiful blue ocean...and the sunsets were unbelievable! The house was perfect for everyone in our family. My parents enjoyed waking up early and taking a long walk on the beach or the nearby bike trail...they always stopped at Ted's Bakery for coffee and for some delicious treats to bring back to the house! The kids woke up and immediately walked the few steps to the beach and jumped into the ocean. They had a blast! I really enjoyed my morning bike ride or run down the bike trail to Waimea Beach park...fantastic views! The house was equipped with everything we needed...! We did not have any issues with any neighbors or any sounds, in fact - I don't think I ever saw or heard any of the neighbors the whole time. This was THE BEST family vacation we've ever taken. We really felt like we were in our own private beach paradise. Everyone kept saying, "We have to come back!" This was truly a vacation to remember....Hopefully, we will be able to return to Hale Ponu once again!
We have stayed at a few different residences on the North Shore of Oahu but nothing as remarkable as Hale Pono! The home was more than we expected in every way including the spacious beautiful grounds that are very private yet ocean front. This is a wonderful home and retreat for someone that is looking for a true Hawaiian get away. The home is very well maintained and the manager is wonderful making any type of special arrangements needed. I highly recomend this property to anyone traveling to the North Shore and its perfect for a family getaway. We cannot wait to go back next spring!
This house is AMAZING! I live on Oahu and searched for many houses on island for my family visiting from NY/NJ to stay at. This was the first house I viewed and I was so giddy as I was taking a tour through it! I was hoping other houses didn't look as nice so I wouldn't have a difficult time choosing. Well I looked at other multi-million dollar beach houses and they were not the same caliber as The Hale Pono! Like the other reviews say, the pictures do not do this house justice! My family LOVED it and had the best and most relaxing vacation they ever had. The nine adults slept comfortably and the layout of this house is perfect and so spacious. Loved sleeping to waves crashing in the background. Enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio and greeted with a rainbow. My parents strolled on the beach and ran into a sea turtle. So nice to have a private beach as your backyard. Rode the beach cruisers to Ted's Bakery in the morning. Enjoyed cooking dinners and eating at the outside table. Played music on Bose surround system. You really don't have to search any further, this is the place, I promise! I hope to rent here again in the future. Thank you to the owner Lian for letting us stay at your beautiful property. Elyse, you were so lovely to work with, thank you for all your help. Oahu Property Manager John was amazing and so kind, thank you for letting us use one of your surf boards and all your help. John and the cleaning ladies really maintain the property's beauty and keep that place so clean and spotless. Not only is this place beautiful, but the people you work with make sure you have everything, respect your privacy, and make you feel at home. I hope whoever reads this is fortunate enough to stay at this beautiful piece of paradise.
Here is what we have enjoyed about the house: • Prompt, professional, responsive management from the first inquiry to check-out. • Location: definitely ocean front; location is even better than advertized. Great views from living room, master bedroom and bathroom. Limited ocean view from one of the downstairs bedrooms. Garden view from the other two downstairs bedrooms. • Craftsmanship: top quality materials used throughout the house, expertly and flawlessly installed. • Space and comfort: the house is roomy and easy to live in. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, making the house ideal for use by more than one couple. Plenty of towels, coordinated linens of good quality. Grounds: very well maintained and pretty garden. Here is what we did not enjoyed about the house: • Limited privacy: yes it is a gated community with a few units and the house is built on 1 acre lot. However, the description on VRBO omits the following key points: There are two houses on this lot. The back house is only a few feet away and is rented year-round. Though much smaller, it definitely takes away from the feeling of having one house on 1 acre. Basically you are renting the better part of a fancy duplex. The property to the east is also only a few feet away. From their top floor they look right into your lanai. You can hear them talking, as they can hear you: you are at the mercy of your neighbors’ manners and activities. If you are accustomed to living in a house where you cannot see or hear your neighbors, this is a major drawback. Luckily, the neighbors were considerate and mostly absent during our stay. There is a public beach access right in the middle of the gated community. So the gate stops car traffic but not foot traffic. People also access the beach from the west side of the property line. You can expect to see people walking almost on the property at any time; a bit disconcerting. The house can get very hot. Since there is no air conditioning – usually not a problem for us -– it took 24 hours for the house to cool down enough, with all the windows and French doors open and ceiling fans going, to make it livable. Also, because of the way the house is placed on the land, unless you have winds coming mostly from the north, you only get a breeze in one or two rooms, depending on wind direction. I hope the above descriptions give potential renters a better understanding of the plusses and minuses of this property.
My wife and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with our two boys and their girl friends. We spent the whole week just enjoying the location, the company, the most relaxing vacation ever. What a beautiful house, my wife had no idea where it was until our arrival. She was so amazed we essentially never wanted to leave the property. In my opinion the pictures on the website don't really show how nice this place is. We're planning a return visit!
What a GREAT vacation we had! When we arrived we were not disappointed....the house was incredible!! It was very spacious and open, our large group (two families) never felt "too close", but close enough for the family feel. The beach, just steps away, was amazing as well. We spent many hours on the beach, watching the turtles play close to the shore, the kids doing flips and rolls into the waves, jumping off the sand "hill" toward the small creek or building (and rebuilding) a sand fortress to test the waves! The sunsets were magnificent!!....starting from the first night, we took time out to watch almost every one (and each one was different). Then after dinner, we would look for the stars and even saw a couple of satellites move slowly by. The surrounding area was great....very "old" Hawaii. Ted's Bakery was almost a daily stop, sandwiches/burgers and pie were very tasty. We all had the best time. We spent a lot of time on the property, and off as well....... snorkeling at Sharks Cove (even saw a large eel), swimming at Waimea Beach (the kids LOVED "The ROCK"...jumping many times!!). We drove down to Honolulu a couple of days to see Pearl Harbor and then visit Dukes on Waikiki. But every night we were on "our" beach watching the sunset. It was the best time! Mahalo to Lian for renting your beautiful home, Elyse for all your help and to John and Kaitlyn for our friendly introduction to the home/area and being so helpful. I hope we can come back sometime!! Mahalo again!
The moment we arrived at the house, we knew our stay was going to be wonderful. The house and its setting on the beach are truly beautiful and peaceful. At sunrise we enjoyed our breakfast on the lanai overlooking the beach and the evenings were spent over long dinners watching the sun go down listening to one of the many hawaiian cd's. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves and having the tradewinds blow through my bedroom windows. This place is truly good for the soul and the perfect place to unwind. Our 3 teenagers and myself loved the bikes and rode the bike path everywhere around the North Shore to surf and snorkel at some of the other beaches nearby and to sample all the different shrimp/pizza trucks for lunch. Of course Ted's Bakery was a favorite stop along the way for a smoothie or a coconut latte! The house was perfect, plenty of space to hang all together inside and out, yet lots of room to find a quiet spot for some privacy. The outdoor shower was a big hit after a day at the beach. The house is close to the quaint surfer town of Hale'iwa which is a must for anyone going to the North Shore. Our family had an amazing two weeks at this house and exploring the many areas that make up the North Shore. Day trips to Aloha Stadium swap meet Byodon temple, Waikiki, Windward side of island, Surratt surf lessons, Waimea Valley to name a few. Mahalo Lian for renting out your piece of paradise to us. It was truly an amazing family vacation. We were sad to leave the house and the spirit of the North Shore community. We will be back, hopefully sooner than later. Mahalo
Awesome! Fabulous! Phenomenal! Thank you Lian and Elyse for sharing your piece of paradise with us! Everything was perfect from the moment we stepped into your gorgeous home until we had to leave. Where do I begin? Everything was so perfect! The upstairs master bedroom was a real treat, encompassing the entire second floor. It was incredible and the view magnificient! Even while showering we could see and hear the ocean and taking a bath was luxurious in the oversized tub. My daughter (19) had her choice of the three very private, generously sized bedrooms downstairs. She chose the equally incredible downstairs master suite. We had a difficult time getting her out of the bedroom (and her huge tub)! The kitchen was well stocked with all the little extras that you need while on vacation. The window over the sink opened to the covered patio allowing us to pass our dinner items thru to dine alfresco. The dining area in the house was exceptional as well and many nights after dinner, we would play cards or games at the comfortable table. Hale Pono is just a few steps to your own private beach. It is so refreshing and peaceful to be the only person walking on the beach, listening to the beautiful song of the ocean and feeling the warmth of the sun caressing your body. The living area of the home was so welcoming and opened to the patio with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Even the few times it rained, we had the doors open and sat on the covered patio watching the rain dance across the ocean. If privacy is paramount, then Hale Pono is the place you want to be. We were able to thoroughly enjoy our stay while having the utmost privacy. The home is shielded from the other houses in the community by the lush foliage and the sonance of the ocean. The solitude and privacy is so revitalizing and we were able to unwind and find ourselves again. I'm so in love with Hale Pono! Yes, while on Oahu you need to see Pearl Harbor, Waikiki Beach and the International Marketplace. Take a bike ride to Ted's Bakery (try the chocolate cream pie). Hike Diamondhead, parasail and swim with the turtles. But I guarantee that you will find yourself wanting to return to Hale Pono. You will even have to drag yourself away to get groceries at Foodland, which is just down the street! (I would send my husband!) :) If you are fortunate enough to be able to spend any amount of time at Hale Pono, you will discover a true Paradise! I know we did!
This house was perfect for us! Even better than the pictures show! Right on a beautiful beach and the house is in wonderful condition. Loved that they had bikes to ride and games/movies/music. The house/beach are very private. It was the perfect vacation getway! Will be back for sure
Could not have asked for a better place for a family vacation. Private, beautiful, and peaceful with the beach steps away. Pictures do not do justice to this wonderful home. North shore best part of Oahu but close enough to Honolulu if you want city atmosphere. Have taken family to all of the Hawaiian Islands but this was by far the best vacation we have had so far. Be sure and try Ted's Bakery a short walk away. Our hostess was a great resource for local sites and events and an all around nice person. Stayed a month and wished we could have stayed longer.
We had a wonderful time and love the house. It is in a fab location. We did not get a chance to see some places. We will have to come back again. :) Thank You for your hospitality. D PS. I had the best sleep during the whole vacation listening to the ocean.
We have been coming to the North Shore for a few years now and have rented many homes but this was one of the nicest we have stayed in. Located right at The Sunset Beach Colony with the world famous Velzyland Break right at your front door. This house is amazing! Right on the beach with incredible views. The house itself is beautiful with no expense spared.. You will not be disappointed...
Luxury, comfort, pirvacy. Loved the down comforters and pillows and the deck off the master bedroom where we could see the ocean while sipping our coffee. Rode bikes to Ted's Bakery! Be sure and try their donuts!! Tasteful decor. Will definitely be back!!
We loved your spacious and well appointed home and would love to return.
This was planned as our Vacation of a lifetime for Spring Break 2008, and it did not disappoint! The pictures and descriptions don't even come close to how wonderful this place is! Nothing else on VRBO even compares to this paradise! Luxury and location!! Brandy from California
