Grocery stores are in Keaau, 15 minutes away, or small local "Gas/Mart" stores close by. Great restaurants in Volcano Village. Guests are also welcome to all basic food supplies in the house. Have electric blankets & space heater for colder early morning hours All of House and Grounds access, plus spacious deck for additional "Indoor/Outdoor" Living Area. Lots of Parking on the grounds. All of the furnishing inside and out, have been designed for Dual Purpose. The tables can be used indoors or out on the lanai, the white benches convert to a picnic table, or XX bar seating, or XX benches. The Daybed set in the living room can be taken out on the lanai for daytime use and brought in at night for extra sleeping mats. There is a washing machine and dryer, or 3 covered areas to hang clothes if needed. Owner may or may not be on premises, either doing landscaping or occupying a separate detached unit. Please call me for anything about the house, local information, and anything about Volcano National park, Helicopter trips, Recent lava path views, (not active, there is no hot lava to see on the island at this time). Beaches, Farmer's Markets, Waterfalls, Hiking, Sightseeing, 2016 eruption site, etc. You are welcome to use my laminated map of the island to take with you on your outings. This is country living! There are no street lights, (which makes stargazing really good). Neighbor Roosters crow at dawn. There are solar lights dotting the landscape, near entry way, and lighting the area to park your car. There is public transportation a few times daily with trips to and from Hilo and all the way around the island for 2 dollars! Also, Uber is now in Hilo. Hirano Store is 1/5 miles north if you need a quick meal. They serve breakfast, Lunch, home cooked dishes daily until 6pm. Please inquire for longer stays, extra cleaning fees may apply
