This private and quiet home is close to the beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, golf, and hiking. This is not a condo, townhome, or apartment with high density and shared walls. It is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath, elevated, separate guest house surrounded by a lush garden. This guest house has a modern kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances, expansive black granite countertops, a breakfast nook, Powerful Wireless High-Speed Internet, Full-Sized Private Laundry, Private couples hot outdoor shower, Private BBQ, Air Conditioner in the Bedroom, Espresso & Keurig Coffee Machine, 60" HDTV with Netflix Service, Danish Tempurpedic California King Bed, high-end mid-century teak furniture, and serigraphs and paintings by known artists. Walk barefoot on the clean porcelain floors, and enjoy the allergy-free environment (no pets or smoking allowed.) Cleaning procedures are strict and covid-compliant. Cottage Layout (see diagrams in photos): •Intimate and comfortable for up to 2 people. •There is only One vacation rental in this cottage, so your privacy is assured. •The living space is located on the top or 2nd floor. This includes 1 Private Bedroom, 1 Walk-in Closet, 1 Full Indoor Bathroom, 1 Large Open Combined Kitchen, a Living and Dining Room, and 1 Lanai (Balcony.) •The first floor has a large, Twin Head, Hot Water, Outdoor Post-Beach shower, a private full-size laundry room with a side-by-side washer, dryer, sink, and a garage. The Garage is only used for the owner's long-term storage. Features: •Private outdoor parking space. •Private outdoor BBQ and yard. •Air Conditioning and California King Tempurpedic bed in the Bedroom •For those who don't like air conditioning, the cottage has been designed to allow the cool North East trade winds to circulate. There are also ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. •The Lanai (Balcony) has a table and two chairs for outdoor dining. •This is a Very Low-Density Neighborhood, but it is still close to all restaurants and beaches. There are ample fine and casual breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurants, bars, and shops. On Wed there is a farmers market. •Kiahuna Golf Club is literally Next Door. • 3-minute drive door-to-door to Roy's Poipu Bar and Grill, The Beach House, or Starbucks. •Walking distance to beaches (18 minutes to the closest beach) or just a 3-minute drive to Waiohai beach or a 4-minute drive to Lawai Beach, both of which have ample and free parking. •Sueoka's Grocery Store is a 6-minute drive. •Koloa Fish Market is a 7-minute drive. •Kauai Coffee's Estate, The largest in the US and home to 4 million coffee trees, is an 18-minute drive. •Costco or Times Supermarket in Lihue is a 25-minute drive •Lihue airport and car rental companies are a 26-minute drive Other Amenities: •Beach chairs, Beach umbrellas, Beach Towels, Cooler. •Indoor Towels and Linens •Toiletries include Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, tissue paper, toilet paper, Q-tips •Despite some of the reviews, I do not provide snorkeling gear, boogie boards or other water gear. So if your total bill is $1000, I will pay 179.62 just in those taxes. •I lose money on each and every cleaning as I pay more than you are charged including supplies. Kauai is one of the most expensive cleaning locations and I am sure that I have the most meticulous cleaners on the island. Covid Related FYIs: •It is worth mentioning this is an isolated house. Nobody else has or needs access to the guest house or the laundry other than the cleaners. The closest building is ~50 feet away. • I have a smart lock requiring no keys. This allows you to do contactless check-in. • Our cleaners use updated Covid-19 cleaning procedures with disinfectants. Further, I believe I have the best cleaning people on the island. •Guests have full access to everything listed. •The Hale O'Neita Cottage, including the full-sized laundry room and Outdoor Shower and BBQ, is for your use only. •You have a free, single car, outdoor driveway parking spot. •I would prefer that my guests have complete privacy for a well-deserved rest. •I am always available via text/phone during check-in, stay, and check-out. •I'm happy to provide recommendations for Beaches, Restaurants, Local Foods, Golf, Sightseeing, and Car Rentals. •The neighborhood is simply the best in Poipu Beach! •Quiet, private, and green •Low density in stark contrast to the developed hotel, airbnb condos or apartments in Poipu Beach. •Birds and wildlife are abundant. •Very close to the beaches, shopping, restaurants, and golf. •Neighborhood light pollution rules make for some great starry nights. •This private guest house in Poipu is just a 26-minute drive from the airport in Lihue, Kauai. •You'll need a rental car on Kauai. I strongly recommend if you work for a large Corporation that you book private car rentals using your Corporate discount rate. This ensures your rates will be nearly the same as pre-Covid. The second option would be to book with Costco online followed by AAA online. •There is one private outdoor parking space available in front of the one-car garage. •10.25% of your total bill is paid directly to the state of Hawaii as a transient accommodation tax and 4.712% is paid as a general excise tax. An additional 3% is paid to the county. •So if your total bill is $1000, I will pay $179.62 to the State and County, in addition to state and property taxes. •My cleaning cost is 205 per clean. That full amount goes directly to the cleaners (and I lose ~$45 on each clean due to supplies/taxes.) Kauai is likely the most expensive cleaning location in the US, and I am sure that I have the most meticulous cleaners on the island.
