I also recommend Turo - the Airbnb of rental cars, rent a car from Turo host in Waikiki - it's super convenient, try out their app. Shared or private shuttles can be pre-booked to take you from the Airport to Waikiki hotels, and often nearby apartments. Taxis are available on arrival at the Airport and are flagged down with ease in and around Waikiki. They don't always accept credit card so have cash on hand. "TheBus" is Oahu's island-wide public transportation system, for real-time schedules download "DaBus2" app. Rides are USD2.50 and can take you to Ala Moana Center, Hawaii Convention Center, Diamond Head and more. The "Waikiki Trolley" is a unique alternative, tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket booth at DFS Galleria Waikiki. There are 5 Lines, 43 stops. The closest stop is at Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel for the Pink Line (to Ala Moana Center). Head to Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel for the Purple Line (to Pearl Harbor) or Red Line (to Downtown Honolulu). The Green Line (to Diamond Head) and Blue Line (to South-East Shore) departs from the Duke Kahanamoku Statue on Kalakaua Avenue. 1-Day All-Line Passes start from USD45.00, 4-Day All-Line Passes are better value at USD65.00. "Biki Hawaii" is Oahu's bike-sharing system with 100 bike stops installed around Honolulu. It's a fun way for tourists to explore Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, Ala Moana, Kakaako, Downtown and beyond.
