WE INVITE YOU TO PLEASE READ THROUGH THE FOLLOWING SECTION AS THERE IS OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY The cottage feels as if it is suspended in the trees. Step through the sliding doors onto the expansive deck and you have one hundred and eighty degree views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Inside you'll find cozy accommodations with everything you'll need to enjoy your stay. There is a sun-room with cozy chairs for curling up with a book, a living room with flatscreen tv and premium cable, a small kitchen with full sized stove, apartment sized fridge, and sink, coffee maker, blender etc. a full bath with bathtub, and a small separate bedroom with queen bed. There is a dedicated laundry space, and a warm outdoor shower in a ginger garden. This (NON SMOKING) POLICY INCLUDES NOT ONLY THE COTTAGE BUT THE POOL DECK AND DRIVE WAY AS WELL. WE THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING. You will be located only 15 minutes from Kona town, just above the Keauhou shopping centers- with movie theaters, shopping, and restaurants-and at a comfortable and cool elevation. Pueo (owl in Hawaiian) Cottage is 10 TO 25 minutes from great family friendly snorkeling and white sand beaches. The rental offers hardwood floors, and a non-stop view of the ocean from north to south. Rental has wrap around windows on the ocean side and a sliding glass door that opens up onto the pool deck with your own private barbecue. Our large pool is solar heated and has a water slide for extra fun! Next to the pool is our cozy hot tub which runs every day for 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening (24/7 use can be arranged at additional cost.) DISCLOSURE; THIS IS A NON SMOKING COTTAGE AND A NON SMOKING PROPERTY. OUR APOLOGIES, BUT NO EXCEPTIONS CAN BE MADE FOR THIS~ THERE IS CONSTANT & CONSIDERABLE TRAFFIC NOISE FROM HWY 11 OWNERS LIVE IN MAIN HOUSE AND ARE VERY ACCOMMODATING. There are Coqui frogs in our neighborhood as well but nothing like what they have out in the Hilo sides. There are rarely seen but heard just around and after sunset. WE HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN, THE POOL DECK AND POOL ARE SHARED USE FOR YOU, AND OUR FAMILY. GENERALLY HOWEVER WE STAY OFF THE DECK IF WE SEE THAT YOU ARE USING IT! POOL IS SOLAR HEATED ONLY. NOT ELECTRIC HEATED POOL FLOATS PICTURED HERE OR ON WEBSITE MAY NOT STILL BE IN USE AT THE TIME OF YOUR RENTAL. THERE WILL BE HOWEVER, BE SOME POOL FLOATS IN USE! PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS HAWAII SO WE HAVE GECKOS AND OTHER TYPICAL INSECTS THAT COME WITH THE "HAWAII EXPERIENCE" OCCASIONALLY THEY MAKE THEIR WAY INTO THE COTTAGE! FOR ALLERGY CONCERNS, THERE IS A PUP AND 3 CATS THAT LIVE ON PROPERTY. THEY ARE OUTDOOR PETS AND WE ASK THAT OUR GUESTS NOT ALLOW THEM INTO THE COTTAGE. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT AT SOME POINT THE PETS HAVE NOT BEEN ALLOWED IN. IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE ALLERGIES PLEASE CONSIDER THIS PRIOR TO PAYMENT AS REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED ONCE PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO HOLD RESERVATIONS. HOT TUB DOES NOT RUN 24/7 RUN TIMES ARE FROM APPROX 5:30 PM TO 9PM. WE CAN ARRANGE FOR 24/7 HOT TUB USE AT $25 PER DAY. THE COTTAGE IS STOCKED WITH AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF TOILET PAPER, PAPER TOWEL, AND DISH SOAP. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING ITEMS AS YOU NEED THEM. WE DO NOT RESTOCK THESE ITEMS TROUGH OUT YOUR STAY. THERE IS NO MAID SERVICE EACH DAY. THE COTTAGE WILL BE CLEANED FOR YOUR ARRIVAL AND ONCE AGAIN AFTER YOU CHECK OUT~ Park at the bottom of the driveway next to pool deck and main house garage. Walk across the pool deck to the sliders and you will find a lock box with the key for the slider. Our home is upstairs and we are available to answer questions or address concerns. We ask that you please call or text rather than come to our door. If you will be traveling with children we are happy to introduce them to our little ones and spend time with you at your request. Our Neighborhood is on an old government road that is also used as a walking trail. Lots of lush greenery around the neighborhood, things that remind you that you're now IN HAWAII! There are Coqui frogs in our neighborhood who have a loud song- sort of like crickets. There are rarely seen but heard just around and after sunset. Please drive no faster than 15 miles per hour on the road! Renting vehicles at the airport is very easy and convenient. You will have a parking spot just in front of the pool deck.
