This residential area is a nice respite from the bustle of downtown Kona. The space is a one bedroom apartment in a five apartment building. It is on the second floor with parking below. Private entrance, large lanai. A bright, open, clean apartment with two levels. The kitchen and living area are on the first floor and the bedroom, full bath with tiled bathtub and shower and walk in closet are on the second level. Main bed is a new quality queen size, second sleeping area is hide-a-bed in living room couch. There is a coin operated washer and dryer on site. Outdoor grill located in the driveway, cooler to use while on day trips. Boogie board and beach towels in the upstairs closet. Check in is simple and easy. It does not even require seeing anyone. Directions for check in and keys given when the unit is rented. You will be staying at several hundred feet above the ocean where there are cool breezes most days. This is an old neighborhood and the people around in every direction are the people who live and work here in Kailua Kona. It is quiet most days but very, very noisy on New Years, Chinese New Years, Independence Day (July 4th) as all the local families love to set off the fireworks that are legal. And maybe some others. Kailua Kona does not have a good bus system. You will need a car, or Uber / lyft. We do have a Toyota Prius to rent upon availability There is a local store across the highway that is open from around 7am until about 7pm. A good selection of beers, some wines and liquors as well as typical food items. Pricing is close to supermarket prices on most items. You must climb a short flight of stairs to reach the unit. Inside the unit, there is a flight of stairs to reach the bathroom and bedroom.
