We are in a friendly, hillside neighborhood just above the Walua bike/walking/jogging trail at 400 ft elevation with a beautiful ocean view. At this elevation we get a nice breeze but ceiling fans are in every room for your comfort. Our place is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. "Ka'imipono Makai" is 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, private lanai, w/BBQ and beautiful lawn leading your eyes straight to the ocean. Sink into our comfortable beds and wake to the melodic song birds starting their day. Enjoy your favorite morning beverage on the lanai while you plan your day. You should find everything you need; there is an assortment of linens, towels, cookware, utensils, dishes, glassware, etc; if it's not there, just ask! A dish rack is provided as there is no dishwasher. For those downtimes when you're not out exploring all that the Big Island has to offer, enjoy a Smart TV. Our WIFI is fast and free. Free parking, full access to everything in the ohana, lanai (patio), private front yard, BBQ, full sized washer and dryer all to yourselves. As we make our home in the upper level, my husband and I are happy to answer any questions you might have about the island or respond to anything you might need during your stay to make it an enjoyable experience. Our neighborhood is active. If you're an IRONMAN or love to exercise, easy access to the Walua trail helps begin your training, or for those that simply want to stroll and enjoy the panoramic views and sunsets. Conveniently located between Kona town and in the other direction, Keauhou Shopping Center which has a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, theaters and shopping. White Sands Beach and Kahalu'u Beach are minutes away by car. A car is recommended to get around on the Big Island. If you're at Keauhou Shopping Center or at the shopping center in town, there is an open-air Trolley which you can take between towns with stops along Ali'i Drive, the 2 beaches and shops for a minimal fee; different and fun. Help yourself to beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards, coolers, snorkel equipment, and beach towels for your Big Island adventures! If you're a golfer, we have a set of golf clubs for you too!
