Located in the heart of scenic and historic Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, our oceanfront condo offers you magnificent ocean views and easy walking to restaurants, shopping, historic landmarks, and water activities. Our spacious lanai provides a panoramic view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean where you may see dolphins, colorful reef fish, turtles and the chance of a whale breeching during whale season. At day's end you'll appreciate the richly colored sunsets from this private lanai. Take a leisurely walk along Ali'i Drive as you stroll in and out of shops, try a refreshing shave ice, watch the waves and make your way to the nearby pier, Home of the Ironman, where you can swim and snorkel or rent paddle boards. At night you may find live music in the many restaurants where you can enjoy a cocktail and freshly caught fish. Your lobby-entry key will allow you access to the pool and a bathroom off of the pool area. There is a barbecue grill close by the pool that you may use. I have lived in Kona since 1974 and want you to feel this is your home-away-from home. I will do everything possible to make this a positive experience for you. You may not meet me in person but you will know I have put my personal touches in the condo when you arrive. The condo is truly in the heart of Kailua-Kona and you will not need a car while getting around in town. So much to see and do, or just totally relax on the lanai- reading, playing cards, sipping cool drinks. We don't have useful public transportation but there are taxis, Uber and some trolleys that can get you from place to place. We recommend to all guests that they have a rental car. They have their own covered parking space with our condo. This is a perfect place to rent for viewing and/or participating in the Ironman Triathlon. We require a two-week rental for this period, typically from October 1 - 15. Two good things to know when you look at our prices: 1) The State of Hawaii requires us to charge two taxes totaling 14.64% (GET or general excise tax is 4.4386%) and (TAT Transient Accommodations tax 10.25%). These taxes are included in our prices. 2) We offer 10% off when you stay a minimum of 7 days.
