Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort North

Comfortably sleeps up to 4 (if 2 of them are willing to sleep on a pull-out sofa). 1 week stays with Fr, Sat, or Sun check-in can book up to 1 year in advance. Stays beginning on a weekday or for a different length must wait until 8 months before arrival to book. (based on availability) King Heavenly Bed Whirlpool tub and separate shower Bed linens and towels for four Queen Sofa bed Color TV, DVD and Bose® AM/FM Wave® Radio Fully equipped kitchenette with service for four; includes a glass cooktop, full-size refrigerator and dishwasher Washer and dryer Private lanai Blackout-lined drapery Telephone lines with voice mail and data ports Sleeps up to four guests On-site dining and activities Guests can check in at a front desk after 4:00 PM on the day of arrival. A credit card will be required for incidentals on the property including a nightly transient occupancy tax based on room type and which days of the week you're staying. Check out time is 10:00 AM on the last day of the booking. A late check out may be requested (but is not guaranteed) after 6:00 PM on the day prior to departure - depends on arrival time of next guest. Several concierge desks and activities desks are available throughout the property. Feel free to ask them anything, or use them to book your island tours. There are coral reefs directly in front of the resort if you enjoy snorkeling, and one of the oldest luaus on Maui is within walking distance (just past the park to the south). Every day except Monday and Wednesday at 11:00 am, guests can try SNUBA in the pool for free. SNUBA is like SCUBA, except that you don't wear the tank, it floats on the surface in a raft and you have a long hose attached to your regulator. SNUBA does not require certification but allows you to get closer to the sea life than snorkeling. The instructor is also great with kids. There's a nightly torch lighting at sunset and on some nights free live music by the Pailolo pool bar and fire-pit. There are plenty of paid activities available from the on-site concierge including but not limited to: Outrigger paddle from the resort, Snorkeling excursions, whale watching (in season), Spa/Massage (on property), Luaus, etc. There is a free shuttle several times throughout the day between the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, and the town of Lahaina, as well as Whaler's Village at the Westin Kaanapali Hotel, and the Sheraton Maui. However, the resort is an hour away from the Kahului airport, and a rental car to see the rest of the island is recommended. You can also rent scooters nearby if you'd like to explore on 2 wheels. Since this is a timeshare unit and they don't expose their calendar I will need to check availability for your requested dates prior to accepting your booking. I won't accept your booking if I cannot secure the room first. Maui books up fast, especially during Summer and whale season. Whale season is December through March (with the peak of activity in late January through early February). Often you can see whales breaching from your lanai. The resort offers a free shuttle throughout the day to Whaler's Village and three other properties (Westin Ka'anapali hotel, Sheraton Black Rock, and Westin Nanea to the North) as well as to Downtown Lahaina. I would still recommend renting a car to see the rest of the island. You can walk one large block north up the beach to the Westin Nanea resort as well, and use their pools and amenities. If traveling with kids they have a much larger wading pool with different toys at Nanea. If you purchase sunglasses from the pool/beach activities center at any of the resorts, they may be able to offer you a complimentary cabana for one of your days. I have a long list of recommendations I can send for fun activities, places to eat, etc. once booked.
