Guests have use of the Fire pit,(firewood available upon dryness of surrounding timber ) All ripe fruits can be eaten. One Pineapple per visit.Vegetables are free for the taking.Snorkeling gear, Body boards, Camping equipment, Fishing gear are all available for use upon request and deposit. Available to provide any necessary assistance throughout vacation. Can do airport arrivals/departure for extra fee, and must be arranged prior. No experience necessary. Will be available by phone otherwise. The ancient fishing village of Hoopuloa was wiped out by a flow erupting from Mauna Loa in 1926. The area varies from lava flow to pockets of vegetation. Nearby neighbors are knowledgeable and friendly. Rural neighborhood but for visitors not wanting to waste the vacation in one spot, you can reach the Volcano National Park in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Hilo takes another 45 minutes from VNP. Even closer than the national park we have South Point and the Greensand Beach Papakolea. The other way takes you along the Kona Coast. Where you can stop at many white/black sand beaches along the way. Kailua Kona is roughly 1 hour away. The Kona airport is typically where guests fly into 45 miles away. Most guests spend a day making their way along the coast on one side then the other another day. The big island is Big for a one day (joy)ride. The public bus comes through twice a day. Once at 7:00am and returns again at 5:00pm. Might have to double check hours. Access to rental cars is best bet.
