Our quiet 4 bd/2bath home is located in Aina Haina valley, halfway between Diamond Head and Hanauma Bay on O'ahu's South Shore. Recently renovated, our front house is a short 15 min drive from Waikiki and 10 min drive to Hanauma Bay/Makapu'u Point. Please note the 30-day minimum stay requirement to comply with State of Hawaii and City & County of Honolulu laws. Airbnb calculates nightly rates, you will not be responsible for any differences. Wake up in the morning to the sound of birds chirping, as our home backs up against State conservation land at the end of Aina Haina valley, yet still just 10-15 minutes to Waikiki. Cool mountain breezes make air conditioning unnecessary, but each room comes equipped with ceiling fans and split air conditioning units just in case. Guests have access to the entire front house (there is an occupied back unit), its garage, and all interior storage areas. We are available to help whenever possible. We are also available 24/7 by phone or SMS. Aina Haina is located on O'ahu's south shore, halfway between tourist attractions Hanauma Bay and Diamond Head/Waikiki. The regional shopping center is a 5 minute drive, and features many restaurants, a Starbucks, McDonalds, a supermarket (Foodland Farms), gas station, etc. There is a two car carport with a black security gate and a third vehicle could fit in the driveway behind the carport gate. The closest bus stop is a 10 minute walk, and buses pass approximately every 30-45 minutes going towards Kahala Mall, Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Center. While having a car is preferable/faster for sightseeing, you can certainly purchase a 4 day bus pass and get around the island on the public bus system. It'll certainly be cheaper! Buses #1 and #23 run close to the home. In Waikiki, Ala Moana, and Kaka'ako, there is a public bike sharing program called Biki that allows you to rent bikes for 30 minute periods. Aina Haina is a quiet, tranquil, residential gem of a neighborhood. We humbly ask that guests refrain from loud conversation/music after 10pm. Our neighbors are very flexible with us running a vacation rental, though we do not want to abuse their support. Please enter and exit the home quietly, and try to keep trash contained in trash bags that are tied up. We don't mind normal family dynamics (we have kids and grandchildren), but this is not a party house. Also, please drive slowly up and down Ailuna Street as there are many families with young children who play in the street, not to mention elderly who walk during the mornings and evenings. When driving, to avoid heavy traffic we recommend not driving westbound between 7am and 8:30am Monday to Friday.
