One block from beach! Separate Seaside Studio
Welcome Travelers! Escape the hustle & bustle, & make this eclectic studio your cozy home base as you explore Hawaii’s iconic North Shore. Feel secure in your own separate space. This private studio is in a coastal family neighborhood of the historic plantation town of Waialua. You are a hop & a skip down the block to the beach access to a white sand neighborhood beach, that's not only swimmable year-round, but also boasts honu (Hawaiian sea turtles), snorkeling, surf and Stand Up Paddle spots. Relax in this private seaside studio apartment, with own entrance, private full bath (with bathtub!), and kitchenette, complete with all you would need- a microwave, large toaster oven, hot plate, refrigerator/freezer, cookware, utensils, dishes, kettle, french press for coffee, basic spices, etc, with a small private yard with grapefruit, mango and avocado trees. Don’t forget to use the fruit press to make some fresh juice from the backyard tree! All races, religions, colors, nationalities, orientations, & genders welcome! Our ohana apartment is part of our home, so we're not affecting the local housing market, and all proceeds stay local. Due to Hawaii's new Airbnb laws, there is a 30 night minimum stay. The price is $75/night, however we offer a 20% discount with 30 day stay. Each additional night will be $75 As we are a "Transient Accommodation," we have to pay state and county taxes. We pay our taxes, so at checkout you will see (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) % in taxes applied to the monthly rate. Hawaii GE (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Guests have private entrance to the studio, full use of studio, and access to small backyard area. We are a kama’aina family from North Shore, who travels back and forth between Oahu and the Big Island (should you be looking for accommodations across from Volcano National Park, let us know!) and reside in the front attached unit. We are busy folks, and respect your privacy, but are happy to provide local knowledge. Message us your questions! We love to share! The immediate area is a mixed density, family, active, seaside neighborhood. You will see many residents biking, jogging, fishing, enjoying Aweoweo Beach Park with their families, and carrying surfboards of all sizes. There is a collection of unique shops in the converted Waialua Sugar Mill, which is a great place to pick up souveniers and gifts. Located a few minutes north east is the bustling town of Haleiwa where one can find eateries of all kinds. Grab a shave ice, some locally roasted coffee, or a snack, and cruise all the unique shops. Or, if it is adventure you are craving -there are numerous places to rent boards, or kayaks, get some surfing lessons, or go on a Shark Boat. Or, a short drive further west will bring you skydiving and horseback riding. And most of all, please find the time to explore all the beauty that the Seven Mile Miracle has to offer. From sun bathing to surf contests, hikes to gorgeous sunsets, we are sure you will make beautiful memories here. There is a bus stop across the street, and bike path if you prefer. If you do rent a car, there is parking on the street. We park our cars on the street as well. While we recommend watching the beautiful sunsets of the area, and the truly astounding majesty of the winter swell instead, we have wifi internet access should you wish to catch up on work, or watch some Netflix on your device. We can't guarantee this will always work. The studio does not have air conditioning, which is common with many homes in Hawaii. There are French double doors, a wall fan, and a lazy ceiling fan. House Rules No smoking Not suitable for pets No parties or events Check-in is from 3PM to 8pm please (don't want you stumbling in the dark, and waking neighbors!) Check out by 11AM Quiet hours observed are 8pm to 8am For those w/ allergies - there are indoor cats on premises, who may have "inspected" the space :p
