Long term guests (30+days) will enjoy a turnkey place to call home during their work, study, rotation, sabbatical, contract, relocation, etc. Everything you'll need for going off to work/study, relaxing in respite, comfortable temp accommodations for relocating, or adventuring out to explore the area or island is all included. Retirees looking for a discounted quiet place of island respite. This master bedroom affords guests more space and privacy along with its en suite bathroom. UPDATE: Please know, under the current pandemic circumstances, we are following all the federal, state, county, city and AirBnB mandates and policies along with our own home requirements to help all of us be good global and Honolulu citizens. Please send me a inquiry to run by your plans with me to consult with the most current policies. This private master bedroom with a queen bed and en suite bath sits on the botanical gardens side of the 3 bdrm/2 bath condo for more privacy. We provide just-like-home enjoyments: A cable TV and WiFi in your room. A BBQ area and pool are on the site. Supplies for take away BBQ's, picnics, the beach, hikes, bodyboarding, and snorkeling are also available. All linens for bedding and bath as well as the beach and pool are included along with laundering supplies for a in-unit washer/dryer. We provide weekly cleaning for the common areas. Your large private space has a dresser, armoire and many shelves and landing spots for keeping your belongings put away or kept out within easy reach. The master bath has a step-in shower and vanity with storage along with shelving to store your personals. Please understand, this is not the same as a hotel, hostel or shared apartment rental. All reservations are as guests in rooms of my home. The room and bath are yours to keep as your private space. The common areas are shared by all guests for small periods of use and relaxing when returning from work or study. Full kitchen use of our completely supplied kitchen; refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, toaster over, slow-cooker, rice cooker, blender, Nutri Bullet, bread machine, etc. Help yourself to whatever staples, condiments, spices, etc are around. An in-unit washer and dryer along with laundering supplies are provided. I'm out of town a little more often these days, but we have several instructional placards to assist you in enjoying the home. We also have many books, pamphlets and printouts to help you pick out nearby favorite sites, beaches, attractions, restaurants, etc or simply read about Hawai’i and it's history. Nu'uanu is located just mountain-side of Downtown Honolulu's waterfront. Less than 1 mile from Hawai'i Pacific U, Queen's Hospital, Kuakini Hospital, and the financial district, and less than 4 miles from University of Hawai'i, Waikiki and the convention center (direct buses are a couple blocks walk). Nearly every cuisine is covered in it's many eateries, from fine-dining to local casual favorites. Two supermarkets, two drug stores, and 7-11 are all from 2 blocks to 6 blocks away. Chinatown and other farmer's markets and the waterfront are 1 to 1.5 miles away or a direct bus ride down to. The waterfront is 1.5 miles south; swimming beaches 3+ miles away. Long stays will benefit from a HOLO bus pass for $60/month. Bus stops are within a couple blocks walk. Waikiki is best visited by bus (where parking is very limited and expensive). Circle Island bus riding is one the best and economic ways to explore the other side of the island without a car. Mopeds are rented in Waikiki and can be a very enjoyable way to explore this side of the island. Renting a car for just those days when you want to explore the other sides of the island is the best way to manage a long stay. Most guests have been thoroughly enjoying walking, especially to downtown, the waterfront, and even along the beach front to as far as Waikiki. We have always enjoyed our walkable community, especially when enjoying an evening out, yet we are still pleasantly surprised at how much guests are discovering so many places to see, visit and enjoy through walking on their days off. There are convenience, drug and grocery stores between 2 blocks and .5 mile away. Eateries and restaurants located from 2 blocks to two miles about every block and offer a wide price and cuisine range. Don't forget to bring your long trek shoes/sandals that have been well-rehearsed in taking you far. The neighborhood, weather, and nearby areas that are more easily explored on foot, will compel you to walk; shoes not broken in might have you regretting you did. Our beauty marks: PARKING: There is one loading zone space 15-20 min (midway along building in front of elevators). A parking space in front of our unit is only available if it is not reserved by a guest when we are off-island. UNrestricted parking is limited on the main street (I find one about 25% of the time). One block up on a side street there is unrestricted (I find 90% of the time). Otherwise UNrestricted street parking can usually be found within a 2-3 block walk. 1-2 block walk restricted parking times are 6:30a-8:30a and 2:30p-5:30p. There is also space for a self-locking moped or bicycle can be parked in front of the unit. QUIET: This is an urban condominium, so some noise is expected, albeit less than most, as we are tucked into a green space. That said, the botanical garden landscapers can mow the lawn early just on the morning you want to sleep in...of course! A/C: We do not have. Please do not book if you are sensitive to not having an A/C'd place to live. We do have lots of fans though! :-)
