Great for small gatherings Perfect for paddlers, SUP's, kiting, windsurf gear. Gear is safe on property vs. condo complexes. No unloading/ loading 2x day. Washer/ Dryer great for extended stays. Near bus stop for quick run in to Paia. Some snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers on site for beach days. Seasonal discounts are available. Winter is typical high season for North Shore. Kiting and downwind sports are very popular in May thru October for the tradewinds. Olu Kai Ho'olaulea, Paddle Imua, Naish Maliko Race, Moloka'i to O'ahu for one man canoes, kayaks, SUPs, Paddleboards in July. We live next door part time and Upcountry Maui fulltime when I am not at the Fire Station. Someone is on island to help you out. Aloha Yard has multiple fragrant island flowers including pikake, tiare and puakenikeni. Fruit trees include coconuts, lemons, limes, breadfruit, lilikoi ( passionfruit), seasonal papaya, etc. Cottage is a simple 600' square feet but the location and outdoors are tops. Hawaii and now Maui collect a Transient tax and Lodging tax to keep our Island State beautiful. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS STATE LAW THAT WE ADD THE TAX...Sorry! On site Parking, Fenced in Yard, Barbecue, Coolers, separate laundry Self contained cottage with full kitchen and bathroom, living room. WiFi, Internet As long as I am home, I will see guests outside in yard and be available for questions, socializing, etc. Kuau Store is conveniently located across the street. Fresh sandwiches, coffee, smoothies, groceries for last minute needs. Quiet neighborhood with a few kids, many active water sports enthusiasts. Plenty of warm smiles and flowers are seen everywhere :) I have had 2 people comment on road noise over the 6 years of hosting. I feel it is pretty quiet but we are on the Highway allowing for proximity to beaches and Kuau Mart. It may be louder than normal. Mamas Beach is across the street behind Kuau Mart. That is the most walkable beach access that we have. Down Aleiki Place, til it bends left along ocean and then bends left again. Follow the Blue Beach access signs :) Bus Stop is in front of neighbor's house, 50' away. Next stops are in Paia town and/ or Haiku town.
