Sally's Shack- nestled in central Laie North Shore
Experience Hawai'i like a local in our partially renovated apartment nestled in central Laie on the famous North Shore. We welcome couples, solo travelers or families with children. Sally's Shack includes a comfortable queen bed with a/c, spacious closet, sofa bed, full bathroom, hairdryer, iron, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen tv with cable, small fridge, wifi, parking space, 2 burner hot plates, towels, linens, washer/dryer, clothes line, picnic table and a code pad lock on the front door We live right behind the town's shopping center which includes a grocery store, clothing shop, hardware store, post office, gas station, restaurants, movie theater and Angel's Ice Cream (Obama's family visited there). Locals indulge in their savory shaved ice. Walking distance to the well known Hukilau Café, Polynesian Cultural Center, the town's university- Brigham Young University, Laie temple and temple beach. Just a 3 minute drive to Kahuku where they have notable food trucks, one of them being "Giovannis Shrimp Truck". 10 minute drive to a local bakery- Sunset Bakery. While there you can catch Waimea bay, Sunset beach (make sure you catch a sunset there, one of the best you'll ever see), Pipeline, Ke Iki Beach, Turtle beach and do all your snorkeling at Shark's Cove. They have a lot of fruit stands on the side of the road as well. If you love to golf, you will catch Turtle Bay on your way out. We are also close to local hiking places, a zipline, kualoa ranch ( famous films were filmed here). There is a pad lock that will allow you to check yourself in. There is a back door that will give you access to the washer and dryer. The neighborhood is very safe, friendly and close to a lot of local attractions. We are an hour drive to downtown Waikiki, Pearl Harbor and many more popular attractions. Sally's Shack is where you want to be if you are looking for tourists spots that aren't too crowded. We are walking distance to a bus stop that can take you anywhere on the island. This is Hawaii and we are in the rural area, there are lots of wild roosters so don't be surprised if you hear them crowing. Our apartment is very clean and newly renovated but you may see a cockroach or gecko once in a while, but they are harmless. My husband is a mechanic and is self employed but will work around your schedule to keep noise at a minimum.
