Our opinion: Hand's down, Makena Surf is the BEST beachfront low-density/low-rise condo choice in Wailea (under $800/night). The snorkeling is also among the best in all of Maui. It's isolated from the rest of Wailea, which is also part of its' appeal, but it's just a couple minutes' drive away from the restaurants and shops in Wailea.
