Description

Filled with bespoke touches—a projection screen, a stone-surround fireplace, marble countertops—Peace in Paradise is aptly named. Whether you’re sipping cocktails on the balcony, lazing by one of the condo complex’s 2 pools, or kicking back on a couch with family and friends, you’ll feel blissfully at ease.

The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo unit can sleep up to 6 people—and your 4-footed furry friend as well. The en-suite master bedroom includes a lofty queen-size bed you’ll love sprawling on after a day of fun in the sun. Relax under the gentle whirr of the ceiling fan and watch TV, surf the web (Peace in Paradise has free WiFi), or finally read that book you never have time for at home. The 2nd bedroom has a twin bunk bed over a full-size bed so that up to 3 people can sleep here. The kids will love it here—though you may have to settle any arguments about who gets to claim the top bunk. An additional guest can sleep in the living area; it includes a twin-size Murphy bed.

The open-plan living/dining/kitchen area was carefully designed for maximum comfort, convenience, and style. Above the fireplace and its custom wood mantel is a projection screen; make some popcorn, whip up a batch of milkshakes or margaritas, and gather on the 2 well-cushioned sofas for movie night. The room has a flat-screen TV as well, mounted on a charming wood-planked wall. And if you need to catch up on work, there’s a built-in desktop where you can set up your laptop.

Because Hilton Head is known for its restaurants—the island has more than 200 to choose from!—you might not plan to do much cooking. Once you see Peace in Paradise’s kitchen, however, you’re apt to change your mind. Stainless-steel appliances, Italian marble countertops, a stone backsplash, cookware and tableware galore: This kitchen has it all. The only things you need to bring are food and an appetite.

You can cook and eat outdoors as well. Peace in Paradise is part of the Cotton Hope complex, which includes a barbecue area with charcoal grills and picnic tables. Before your meal, why not enjoy a swim in one of the complex’s 2 pools? You can then dry off on a poolside chaise; just be sure to reapply your sunscreen before you doze off amid the warmth and the birdsong! After your meal, the kids can burn off some energy at the complex’s playground, or you can all stroll among the leafy, well-tended grounds.

Peace in Paradise is about a mile from the sugary beach and the Atlantic Ocean. You can walk there in 20 minutes or drive there in less than 5. Another option is to bike there. Hilton Head has a 50-mile bike-trail system, and Cotton Hope’s bike path connects directly to it. Once you’re at the beach, you can swim, paddleboard, canoe, kayak, build sand castles, collect shells, or simply stretch out on a blanket and keep an eye out for dolphins frolicking in the waves.

The condo is also close to numerous golf courses. The Audubon-certified Bear Creek course, designed by Rees Jones, is less than 10 minutes away; the Robert Trent Jones and George Fazio courses at Palmetto Dunes are only a few minutes further. If tennis is your sport, you’ll find numerous courts nearby too, including the Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center less than 10 minutes away. The Coastal Discovery Museum (a favorite of kids), the historic Mitchelville Freedom Park, and scores of shops and restaurants are also within a 10-minute radius.

Get ready for your best family vacation yet: Book your stay at Peace in Paradise today. You’re sure to make memories that will last a lifetime.
