Description

Bring your children, bring your parents, bring your friends: Stonebrook Lodge can accommodate up to 16 guests, and it’s so beautiful, pampering, and restful you’ll want to share it with those you love.

When you drive up to the 4-bedroom home, the first thing you’ll notice—besides the towering trees, the crisp mountain breeze, and the gentle burble of the brook running alongside the cabin—is the fire pit, ringed by logs cut to serve as benches. Be sure to bring marshmallows for toasting beneath the stars; what a blissful way to end the day!

Stonebrook Lodge’s huge decks will command your attention as well. One of them leads to a patio furnished with a dining table and a charcoal grill so that you can savor meals alfresco. The lower deck includes a hot tub; though soaking among steamy bubbles is always fabulous, it’s especially so when you can gaze out at the mountains and the lush woodlands as you luxuriate.

The interior of Stonebrook Lodge is just as impressive as the setting. The great room makes up most of the main level. The cathedral ceiling, the oversize windows, and the lustrous wood-planked walls and floor give it an airy, laid-back vibe. Many of the furnishings throughout the home were handcrafted by local artisans, adding to the 5-star ambiance. As well as a flat-screen TV with cable and free WiFi, there’s a piano and lots of comfortable leather seating where everyone can gather. On chilly winter evenings, the stone-surround fireplace is sure to be a favorite feature.

The dining area seats a dozen people: 8 at the table and 4 more at the adjacent granite-topped breakfast bar. The breakfast bar doubles as additional kitchen counter space—and once you see how well equipped the kitchen is and how lovely the dining area’s view is, you’re sure to want to eat at least a few of your meals in.

Another benefit to dining in is that afterward, you can head downstairs to watch a movie or the big game in Stonebrook Lodge’s home theater. The 65” HDTV with Blu-ray isn’t the only attraction; the leather sofas are so sumptuous, you may want to relax down here even after the movie is over. Next to the theater room is the game room, with a full-size pool table.

Three of Stonebrook Lodge’s 4 bedrooms—the 2 on the top floor and the 3rd on the main floor—are master suites. Each of these features a luxe king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, and views you’ll love waking up to. Each also has a private bathroom that includes a jetted tub. After a day of hiking, skiing, or rafting, you’ll want to make a beeline to those massaging jets of water. Sheer bliss!

Two more bathrooms—and 2 more jetted tubs!—are on the lower level, as are a full-size washer and dryer. Also downstairs is the 4th bedroom; furnished with 2 queen-size bunk beds, it can sleep as many as 8 people. The kids will love making this room their private clubhouse. In addition, one of the couches in the home theater opens into a queen-size bed.

Set on a ridge at the end of a road, Stonebrook Lodge offers exceptional privacy. Despite its feeling of seclusion, though, the cabin is close to numerous local attractions. The Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, for instance, is only a 10-minute drive. Just a few minutes further is downtown Gatlinburg, home to Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Guinness World Records Adventure, restaurants, distilleries, arcades, thrill rides, shops, and more. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only a 20-minute drive, and Dollywood is a half-hour away. One thing’s for sure: You’ll never run out of things to see and do.

But don’t forget to leave plenty of time to simply enjoy the tranquility of Stonebrook Lodge itself. When you stay here, you’re certain to return home refreshed, relaxed, and rejuvenated… and looking forward to a repeat visit!
