Aloha! Kehena Mauka Nui Club is a clothing optional and gay/LGBTQIA+ guesthouse located steps away from Kehena Beach, a clothing optional black sand beach in the Puna district of the Big Island of Hawaii. We encourage our guests to meet each other and be social to experience the true gift of travel: the people you meet along the way. Breakfast is not automatically included in the room rate. However, we offer several on-site breakfast options for purchase. The Volcano Room is a deluxe accommodation. This room has a high vaulted ceiling, and french doors to a small outdoor patio. The house minutes on foot to Kehena Beach (Hawaii's premiere clothing optional beach). Just a 15 minute drive up the road is the hot pond at Pohoiki, where you may float and soak in the hot salty water. We foster a guesthouse experience where our visitors are encouraged to interact and intermingle, while having the ability to retreat to their own private room spaces. Free coffee is provided in the morning and on-site breakfast options are available for purchase. All of the rooms in the house have access to a shared outdoor hot tub, shared bathrooms, shared full kitchen and common gathering spaces, such as the living room, porches, and dining area. I live on-site and enjoy meeting guests and helping them with suggestions and local insights for visiting the area. The Guesthouse also hosts weekly (each Monday) on-property, gay social events where guests are encouraged to attend/mingle. These events are hosted in the gardens of the property (not inside the house). A licensed massage therapist also lives on-site. We will send you information to book these services upon check-in. We are located in the Kehena Subdivision (the houses that border Kehena Beach). Regardless of whether or not you choose to stay with us you should definitely plan on renting a vehicle for your stay on the Big Island. The island is quite large and the sights and attractions are quite spread out. The island does operate a public transit system, however we do not recommend it as it is somewhat unreliable and only runs a few times per day.
