Quiet neighborhood with a good amount of space between houses. Mostly older homeowners that have lived in the area for an extended time. We are on the "Louisville Loop" so you will see avid bike riders traveling down the road. The city has plans to build up the roads and make them more accessible for bikes and walking. Even though we are in the city limits it has more of a country/rural vibe. People ride four wheelers, dirt bikes, target practice (with guns), have animals, use farming equipment, etc. You will also most certainly see wild life on our property and in the area. We are next to the largest park in Louisville, Jefferson Memorial Forestry. There is also a small park around the corner with a playground for kids and picnic area. Please be aware our property borders a train track so you will hear it when one goes by. You will enter the property on a gravel road. This will lead you to my camper home. You can park next to the shed and turn around in the yard. If it has been raining and the fields are wet please use your best judgement turning around and getting off the gravel. Try to drive on the wet ground as least as possible. There are gas stations and convenience stores very close by. A short drive up the road you will find Walmart and a grocery store, restaurants etc. We are 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Louisville. Being very close to the expressway it isn't a bad drive. Downtown you will find lots of museums, galleries, urban boutiques, the walking bridge and many things unique to Louisville. Before you make your booking, I'd like to provide you with some unique insights that might not have been covered in other sections. Your stay is not just a reservation; it's an opportunity to be a part of a continuous transformation. Please be aware that we currently have a compost toilet in the bathroom. This is unique and different to most people that have not lived "off-grid". We have instructions on the toilet as to how it is to be used. We have the Nature's Head brand if you would like to do your own research and understand how it works before your stay. We are in a remote area but we are still in the city. The camper has two neighbors behind it approximately 1000 feet nearby. As an artist I view my home as a canvas of ongoing creation, with both minor details and larger projects continuously being refined inside and out. It's important to note that this process is an integral part of the charm and authenticity of my space. In particular, my efforts in landscaping are a work in progress, a testament to my commitment to enhancing the environment around my home. As a result, there might be elements in various stages of development or slight deviations from the images you've seen. Your understanding and flexibility are greatly appreciated as I craft a truly unique oasis. Every day brings new updates, and this journey wouldn't be possible without your stay. Your choice to be a guest in my home directly contributes to its evolution, and I'm sincerely grateful for your support. As you step into this evolving space, you're becoming a part of a narrative that extends beyond bricks and mortar. You're joining me on a journey of transformation and growth. Thank you for choosing to be a part of this adventure. Your stay is not just about accommodation; it's about sharing in the vision and aspirations that define my small home for a new way of living.
