3 person max occupancy. This getaway is for those who enjoy non-shared privacy, cooler evening temps, surrounded by nature & its soothing sounds. Learn how to cultivate, harvest, & care for the land & animals. Hills on site provide amazing ocean views & breezes. The stars are phenomenal when the sky is clear. AWD or 4WD vehicles recommended but not a must. Renovated solar powered cabin w/all comforts of home. Tucked away between two hills on an acre within our 5 acre farm. TA-069-603-9936-01 Hawaii living doesn't get better than this! About 432sf cabin/Tiny home on an acre of land within a 5 acre Botanical Farm. Just you and the sound of birds, sheep, pheasants and frogs along with white Talapia and Koi fish filled pond. Mature bamboo, fruit trees, flowers and sacred native trees surround the area. DSL provided for your smart devices and for remote work, zoom calls, etc. Water is from rain catchment system and is filtered through a 5 miron sediment and 5 micron carbon block and then uv light. Propane hot water heater and stovetop, full fridge/freezer, fully filtered running water for kitchen sink, bath sink, large shower, and a normal flushing toilet. Also has a dehumidifier for added comfort. Entire space around the cabin and pathways through the Botanical Farm. Be happy to provide a tour of the farm and animals. I can be easily reached by cell phone usually between 7am to 10pm. This is truly a surreal highly sought area of the Big Island per our guests and locals alike. Paauilo Mauka(mountain side) is about 2,100 feet elevation. It is a unique area that provides a good balance of rain and sunshine for plants to thrive. With cool breezes and average day temperatures of about 75 to 82 degrees ºF and night temps of about 58 to 68 degrees ºF. No air conditioning needed. I love the beach, however, I value my sleep and can't sleep in the heat and humidity of the west side, Kona and Hilo at night. Stargazing is spectacular when the skies are clear. No vog so you can breath easy. The Hawaii Vanilla Farm, Mauna Kea Tea Farm, local organic produce, local eateries, Tex for famous Malasadas, and great scenic hiking trails and activities along the amazing Hamakua Coast. The walk around the neighborhood is already so inviting. A rental car is highly recommended. The private road to the cabin requires a AWD or 4WD vehicle. If not, parking on the road and a few minutes walk with lovely views to the cabin works too. Honokaa Town is a 15 minute drive for groceries and eateries. Waipio Valley is a 25 minute drive. Hilo is about a 50 minute drive and white sand beaches are about 50 minute drive to the west side. Local farmers produce available 5 minutes away on Monday and Thursday. Sweaters and hiking/tennis shoes to enjoy your walk around the farm and neighborhood.
