Rest and relax in the hot tub, kayak through the tranquil waters, or simply read a book in a traditional hammock under orange trees enjoying the surrounding nature and the unique magic of the landscape. When sitting on the deck, looking out onto the lake, it truly feels like you’ve been transported into a different world. The tranquility of the water offers a true sense of calm and restoration. Guatapé is an Andean resort town in northwest Colombia, east of Medellín. It’s known for its houses decorated with colourful bas-reliefs. It sits by the vast, man-made Peñol-Guatapé Reservoir, a busy water-sports centre. Piedra del Peñol, a giant granite rock southwest of town, has hundreds of steps to the top, where there are stunning sweeping views. There are numerous restaurants in the local vicinity some of which are accessible by boat. The property is located in an enclave in Cristalina, thought to be one of the most popular areas as strategically positioned to avoid heavy traffic during weekends in the area of El Peñol/Guatape Getting around is fairly easy by car from town to town. Guatape and El Peñol are inclined to get busier at the weekends, hence parking is in more demand. Alternatively, boats can easily take you to the Guatape and El Peñol Replica plus several restaurants. Most tourist attractions can be reached by boat.
