Overlooking Apple Bay on Tortola's western coast, our villa provides a front-row seat to breathtaking sunsets almost every evening.  Room for Everyone - The property, which includes both a main house and a guest house, comfortably accommodates six guests, ensuring all the amenities necessary for a perfect stay. Set on one acre of land, the property provides privacy and serenity. Simple Comforts - At Pelican Peak, we cherish the natural beauty and simplicity of the villa. The breathtaking views from the property are a highlight, reflecting the pristine beauty of the surroundings and contributing to the villa's unique charm and peaceful ambiance.  Children - The house is suitable for children aged 6 years and older who can swim, as the pool is not fenced and is very close to the living room. Villa Layout - The property comprises two houses: the main house and a guest house. The main house has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom, located on the ground floor, features a king-sized bed and an attached outdoor bathroom with stunning views of the islands. The top-floor bedroom, accessible via a narrow spiral staircase, boasts a beautiful high ceiling and two queen beds. Please note, the staircase's is about two-feet wide and might make it challenging to bring large suitcases upstairs. Moreover, the bathroom for this room is on the ground floor. Given these factors, we suggest reserving this room for the younger guests in your group, if possible. The guest house is separated from the main house by a swimming pool and lawn. The guest house features a king-sized bed and a separate area with a bunk bed, which is ideal for younger children. The guest house bathroom is comfortable and includes a shower, double sink, and an additional outdoor shower that offers breathtaking views of the islands. All rooms fully open to the outdoor areas, but if needed, they can be closed and air-conditioned for your comfort. The living room/open kitchen has large wooden doors that open up to the veranda, where you'll find a second living area with a dining table that seats up to eight people and a relaxing sitting area. Because most of the living room/kitchen is open to the deck, the veranda, and the main house feel like one cohesive space. From anywhere within the main villa, the guest house, outside on the deck, swimming in the pool, relaxing in the hammock, or sitting elsewhere in the garden, you will be able to see far and wide across the Caribbean Sea while you are listening to the waves breaking on Little Apple Bay’s beach. Lynn Johnston is our property manager who will assist you in settling in and feeling at home. Upon your arrival, she will meet you, give you a tour of the house, and provide tips to enhance your stay, from discovering the best beaches to exploring local dining and secluded spots. While Lynn does not reside on-site, we encourage guests to handle minor issues independently. Rest assured, she is available to support you, ensuring you have the freedom to enjoy your stay at Pelican Peak fully. Within easy reach of the villa, you'll discover some of the island's most picturesque beaches, including the secluded paradise of 'Smugglers' Cove, the mile-long stretch of pristine white sands at Long Bay, and the inviting shores of Apple Bay beach. Within a 5 to 15-minute drive from the villa, you'll find various restaurants and shops ranging from casual to upscale. Just a quick 10-minute drive from the house lies Soopers Hole, where you can discover an excellent supermarket, a charming breakfast spot serving fresh coffee, and several restaurants. Tortola is a hilly island, the best way to get around is by vehicle. Most of our guests rent a car and find it easy to drive around. The locals are known for their relaxed approach to driving, rarely rushing or driving aggressively, which enhances the overall ease of travel. Driving on Tortola is a fun and adventurous experience that rewards you with breathtaking views of the surrounding islands. You need a Four-wheel drive car because the roads in Tortola are not always in good condition and can be rough in certain areas. The route to Pelican Peak Villa has some harsh curves and elevations. If you prefer to leave the driving to someone else during your stay in Tortola, Taxi George is an excellent option for your daily excursions and shopping. You can easily reserve his services for any day you need him. While Pelican Peak Villa provides a mid-week cleaning service, we do not have constant on-site staffing, ensuring you can fully enjoy your privacy. Typically, the villa is cleaned after check-out. However, for stays of seven nights or more, we offer a complimentary mid-week cleaning service, during which towels are replaced, and bed linens are changed weekly Guests need to provide their own meals.
