The suite is on the second level above the office and is air-conditioned and perfect for a couple or small family. 24/7 Lockbox Silver Mountain Resort & Cabins is located on Silver Mountain Road just off of Highway 16. It's a quiet and peaceful location while still being centrally located to all the Black Hills has to offer. We are 14 minutes from Mt. Rushmore; 10 minutes to Keystone for shopping, snacks, restaurants, and adventure; 15 minutes to Hill City for galleries, restaurants, shopping, and the 1880's train; 23 minutes to Lake Sheridan for fishing, kayaking, boating, stand up paddle boarding; and 15 minutes to East Rapid City for groceries and fun. Just around the corner on Silver Mountain Road, you'll find plenty of hiking and beautiful views. Down highway 16, you'll find some of our favorite family activities including: The Reptile Garden, Bear Country USA, the Stratobowl, and Putz n Glo mini golf. DIRECTIONS: Coming from Rapid City on I-90 take Exit 61, for the truck by-pass, to Highway 16 or exit 57 through Rapid City (if you need a grocery store). In 9 miles, turn left onto US Highway 16 West towards Mount Rushmore. Drive 8 miles past the two exits for Rockerville. Silver Mountain road will be the second right after the last exit for Rockerville, just past the little log church building. Go about 1.5 miles on Silver Mountain Road and the cabins will be on the right-hand side of the road. If you are coming from Hill City or the Mt. Rushmore areas, go about 3 miles on Highway 16 East. After you get on the four-lane highway, Silver Mountain Road will be a left-hand turn. The turn is directly across from Hill Side Country Cabins (look for our blue highway sign). Go on Silver Mountain Road for about 1/2 mile and the cabins will be on the left-hand side.
