Enjoy your own private, attached bath that features a clawfoot tub and shower combination, marble counters, and a separate closet. Built as a private residence nearly 130 years ago, this circa 1888 home features a complete, eco-friendly remodeling. Guests will experience the quality of the original exteriors, refinished woodwork, hardwood floors, and sunlit rooms while enjoying the totally modern upgrades. Our home features three fully remodeled guest rooms, new bathrooms, a cozy library, and a room for relaxing next to a fireplace. Additional amenities include, private parking; home brewed specialty teas and locally roasted coffee; full breakfast home cooked by Mary Keys; robes; luxurious linens. Roger and I live in a private quarters with our old dog, Gracey, and while here on the property, provide you all the privacy and quiet so you can get all the rest and relaxation you need. You will have main access to your guest room and private bath on the second story, as well as shared access to the downstairs library and living room. We do not provide kitchen access during your stay but do provide a catered breakfast. We live on premises with our small well behaved dog Gracie and you will have as much access to us as you would desire but will respect your private time and space. The Guest House is a short stroll to the award winning local winery and restaurants. Explore our local forest preserves, biking and walking paths and our seasonal farmers market. Walking, biking, driving or if requested we can provide shuttle services. We are fully vaccinated and take COVID cleaning protocols very seriously in this new climate. As well, our heating and cooling systems for the second floor where the rooms are located are a separate system than the bottom level providing an extra layer of protection.
