Set on a hillside with breathtaking views of the main beach and coastline, "Casa Nido" is perched like a treehouse in a private sanctuary jungle setting. Located at the end of the main beach, just 5 steps seperate our front gate from the sand. You can walk to downtown (or to the main surf break) in less than 5 minutes. Stunning tropical gardens terraced over 1/2 acre provide total privacy. One of the oldest homes in Sayulita, "Casa Nido" (Nest House) exudes character and is fresh out of an extensive remodel. It is perched like a treehouse in a private botanical garden setting. We are located directly on end of the beach at the south end of town. The main house has a kitchen, living room, office, and three bedrooms - each with a private bathroom. The central wooden deck, built amongst the trees, connects all the spaces. This is where you will probably be spending most of your time lounging in hammocks and enjoying the views. The detached palapa house has two rooms each with a bathroom. The upstairs room in the palapa has a king bed as well as a magical sleeping loft with queen bed under the palm roof. Walk up the garden trail to the top of the hillside to find the mirador palapa. This open room viewing platform under a palapa roof provides stunning views of the coastline north. Here you can watch wales and the surf break from your hammock. A bed is provided for this space as well if you feel like camping out al-fresco. Even though Casa Nido can sleep 12 in comfort, it doesn't feel like a giant unoccupied house if you are, say, just 4. The rooms are spread out and totally private. Casa Nido is one of the few remaining houses on the beach in Sayulita that hasn't been split into multiple dwellings. With the exception of the garage, guests have access to the ENTIRE house. This is our beloved family home that we are happy to share with you. Jorge, our bilingual coordinator, will greet guests and help them settle in. Jorge has lived in Sayulita for 13 years and is happy to help guests as needed. He can help you with reserving your car service to and from the Puerto Vallarta airport, golf cart rental, reservation of various activities, an in house cook and anything else to make your vacation special. The house is nestled in a private botanical garden / jungle setting and virtually invisible from the exterior. The house is located on the dirt road that follows the beach on the Southern side of town. The beach is just 5 steps from our front gate. An easy five minute walk will take you downtown or to the main surf break. If you want to rent an electric golf cart, there are many options available in town. We provide a parking spot in front of the house. We understand the importance of attention to detail, quality and aesthetics in creating an enjoyable and indulgent short break experience. Water: We are somewhat fanatic about our water quality. All the water in our house is softened using an ion-exchange system (to remove excess calcium and magnesium), carbon filtered (to remove chlorine taste), and finally UV sterilized (to remove pathogens). It is perfectly safe to drink from any tap including bathrooms and showers. Not only that, our water tastes really good. Please do the planet a favor and don’t buy plastic bottled water. Internet: We have a fast fibre optic internet connection to our access provider and numerous wireless access points providing robust WIFI service throughout the property. Download speeds average 150MB/S and upload 38MB/S. This is more than enough for downloading movies and video calls. Small children: Casa Nido is built on a steep hillside. To reach the house from the street one has to climb numerous irregular steps. The main deck is perched in the trees. Close attention will need to be paid to small children to prevent them from falling over open rails, tripping, etc… If you have small children that were raised outside and spent a lot of time climbing trees, great. Otherwise, the house is not what most would call “small child friendly” House cleaning service is provided two days per week by our trustworthy maid Marisol. Her husband, Manuel, maintains the gardens. Jorge, our bilingual house manager, can provide concierge services to help reserve a private chef, transportation, and in-house massage service.
