Coastin' A-Long sits in the hillside estate of Long Bay, the beach in the foreground with islands dotted in the sparkling Atlantic Ocean below. With a perfect view from just about every room in the house, the villa provides the perfect setting for enjoying the scenery, with a peaceful calm around the property. Remodeled in 2021 and the villa feels lovely and fresh. The French doors in the living room area open onto a wrap around deck and create a wide-open living space with alfresco dining and comfortable outdoor furniture for lounging. The villa offers peace and quiet to read a book on the deck, listen to music, enjoy a cocktail, or fall asleep to the majestic view of the Atlantic. Parking is excellent and conveniently located outside the front door making it very easy to transfer groceries without having to negotiate steps. The entrance leads to the living area and then the galley kitchen on the left opens to the dining area on the covered pool deck. There is a magnificent wall to the back of the villa with local planting of shrubs and flowers. The Villa offers three King Bedrooms and Bathrooms, one en-suite bathroom has an outdoor shower. The pool just welcomes you in and makes it very easy to spend the day relaxing. The newly remodeled Long Bay resort makes this one of the very best locations on the island. We have up-to-date local knowledge so once you've booked we can assist with car rental, provisioning, boat trips, water taxis, restaurant, excursions...anything you need! We're nearby if you need us but we're unobtrusive... Coastin' A-Long is found in Long Bay, West End where many of the rental villas have been built so we have a great selection of restaurants within 5 - 15 minutes drive of the villa. West End Jetty is just 10-15 minutes away, perfect if you're arriving by water-taxi from St Thomas (no ferries scheduled as of Oct'21), the New Horizon ferry to Jost van Dyke also leaves from West End jetty. Soper's Hole Marina is another great West End feature, home to 3 restaurants (Pussers Landing, Omar's Coffee Shop and Omar's Fusion), Harbour Market grocery store, Arawak, Breeze and Allamanda gallery gift shops, plus Island Surf and Sail for all kinds of watertoy rentals. We definitely recommend renting a 4WD SUV for your stay, there's plenty to explore. Tortola's only 12 miles long by 3 miles at its widest but it's a mountainous island and the roads can be pretty rugged with some sharp switchbacks on the hills. We have some great taxi driver's in the West End who can meet you on arrival and bring you to your villa for a really relaxing start to your vacation. And of course they're available for trips to beaches, restaurants and anywhere else. Long Bay is in the heart of West End where lots of the most beautiful and unique villas have been built over many years as well as Long Bay Beach Resort. We're lucky enough to have West End ferry terminal, Soper's Hole Marina and a great selection of restaurants within 10-15 minutes drive of the property and it has a friendly community feel with a good mix of residents and tourists in the area. BEACHES: Long Bay Beach is 1 mile long of white sand - perfect for walking off the cocktails and coconut shrimp or conch fritters! The best areas for swimming are near the middle and the 2 ends of the beach. Pelican Point is a large rock protruding from the water in the middle of Long Bay, great for snorkeling out to on calm days. Apple Bay offers world class surfing when the conditions are right (October-April). Smugglers Cove is a protected spot that usually offers calm waters - perfect for the less energetic among us and great for paddle-boarding or snorkelling the coral reefs where you can spot all kinds of sea-life. Patricia offers awesome lunches, cocktails and drinks. DINING OPTIONS: Long Bay: Tropical Fusion and 1748 and Johnny's Beach Bar at Long Bay Resort, beachfront. Apple Bay: Sebastians on the Beach, Tramonti and The Sugar Mill for fine dining in a beautiful historical setting. Carrot Bay/Windy Hill: Da Coal Pot on the waterfront, Bananakeet (top of Windy Hill for the best sunset views), Stoutt's Lookout (top of Windy Hill) for great views and very informal BBQ Soper's Hole: The Admiral Pub, Pusser's Landing, Omar's Coffee House and Omar's Fusion. GROCERIES & ATTRACTIONS: C&D convenience store is just over Zion Hill (10-15 minutes drive). Soper's Hole: Harbour Market (a well-stocked branch of the island's main grocery store -Riteway), along with Arawak, Breeze, Allamanda Gallery, Driftwood Spa and Island Surf and Sail for all your water toy rentals. Sage Mountain is a 25 minute drive and offers beautiful National Park trails at a slightly cooler temperature due to the elevation and shade of the rainforest-like terrain.
