The Salty Mermaid is once again ready for guests! We have been living in Hilton Head for the last few months, but are now again excited to share our two bedrooms and two-bathroom villa. The pool is gated and has rescue equipment. **** Quiet hours are from 10 pm-7am Our Beachwalk Villa is conveniently located on the 1st floor of a two-story regime with only a few steps to carry all you need for your relaxing Hilton Head vacation. Our first-floor, 2-bedroom, 2-bath villa is NON-SMOKING. The villa is beautifully decorated in tasteful hues of blue with beach accents. The large and well-equipped patio has a fantastic view of a beautiful lagoon filled with various creatures native to South Carolina. Sit back and enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail while checking out all the wildlife nature has to offer from the comfort of your own vacation home. The kitchen and flooring were renovated in the spring of 2020. The kitchen is fully stocked with marble countertops and a stainless-steel stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. Our villa has electric heat and a flat-top electric stove. No gas is used in the villa. Your living area includes a comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa and loveseat. This area has a 40-inch flat-screen TV, and high-end cable service. We have an extensive DVD and book library as well as cards, games, and puzzles to chill out with. There is a dining room table with seating for six as well as cozy seating for 2 in the kitchen. The master bedroom and bath are furnished with a comfortable queen bed, a large dresser, and a closet. There is a large chair and ottoman built for 2 for snuggling and TV watching after a sun-filled day at the beach. A full-length mirror has also been provided so you will be able to check out your great tan! The master bedroom contains a wall-mounted adjustable flat-screened TV. The master bath has a porcelain sink with plenty of counter space and full mirror as well as a glass/tiled stall shower. There is also a storage closet and much drawer space to unpack all your beauty supplies. A set of fluffy towels are provided for every guest staying in the villa. The second bedroom contains a double bed and a single bed and several dressers. The second bathroom has a glass/tiled stall shower with one sink and a large mirror. Those of your packing lightly or renting long-term will love the extra-large washer and dryer located in the hallway closet. A starter laundry soap will be provided for you. We have beach chairs, beach games, and pool toys. Forget your beach towel? Don’t sweat it! We have extra beach towels located in our hall closet. Want to bike but can't bring your own? The island also has many great rental facilities where you can rent bikes for a reasonable price and utilize all the beautiful miles of trails in Shipyard and beyond. Arriving late with no time to get to the store? No problem! We provide you with a guest starter package with the following things included: Toilet Paper (2 rolls per bathroom) • Facial Tissues (1 box per bathroom) •Shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizing lotion (1 bottle of each per Bathroom) •Bar soap (1 per bathroom sink, 1 per shower or bathtub) Basic Paper Towel (1 roll in Kitchen) dish liquid bottle (- 3 FL. OZ. Bottle) •4 Finish dishwasher tablets •Trash can liners (8 medium, 8 small) Laundry Detergent- 1 box= 1 load In addition to this guest starter pack, we also have included all of the following towels and linens: All sheets, all pillowcases, 2 Bath Towels, 2 Hand Towels, 2 Wash Cloths, 2 kitchen Hand Towels and 2 Kitchen washcloths. Beachwalk is a beautifully quaint and quiet complex situated in a spot that is the closest regime to the beach in Shipyard. Shipyard Plantation is a safe, gated plantation community within Hilton Head with two security gated entrances located off Highway 278 and Pope Avenue. As you drive into the neighborhood, you will immediately feel like you have been transported into another world. The many waterways and shady tree line paths with have you feeling like you are in paradise. Shipyard Plantation is 800 acres and has over 12 miles of charming trails to run, bike or walk! You will be encapsulated in nature’s beauty and all the creature comforts of life are just minutes away! The Sonesta Hotel is a short walk for a great meal or a drink at one of their various bars. Van Der Meer Tennis Center and the Shipyard Golf Club are all both located within Shipyard Plantation and are just minutes from the villa, not to mention the wonderful shorelines of Hilton Head’s sandy beaches. It truly is a vacationer’s dream. Follow the signs to the Sonesta Hotel. Beachwalk is right across the street. Our villa is located in the last cul-du-sac. Parking is tight, so try to bring one car if possible. Do not park in the pine straw or landscape as you may receive a ticket. There is a short term rental contract for you to look at prior to booking. A signature is required prior to your stay in our home. Pest control comes inside our villa the first Thursday of each month. We are right by the bike path that takes you to the beach. It is easy and convenient to get to the beach. We are .5 miles from the beach and this is a quick bike ride and an easy walk for most people. Our unit is located on the peaceful backside of Beachwalk. We welcome all kinds of families to our home, but our villa is best suited for families with school-aged children, teenagers, and adults. The community pool has a gate around it and rescue equipment. There is no lifeguard on duty. It is open April 1-October 31. The deck is open for lounging in the off season. Be a Good Neighbor--The following set by the town of Hilton Head. Please be a Good Neighbor by leaving our beautiful island the same way you found it so others may enjoy it as well. Noise Please observe the Town of Hilton Head Island's Noise Ordinance by respecting quiet hours between 10 pm and 7 am. It is unlawful to unreasonably disturb the peace. Town noise regulations are in force 24 hrs a day. Garbage *Please be sure all trash is neatly stored in designated trash storage containers. *Trash containers must be stored in designated storage area and not be seen from the street or neighboring property. Please follow the trash pick-up schedule provided to you by the Owner of the short-term rental. *Please ensure trash containers are not placed curbside prior to 24 hours before pick- up and be removed from the curb within 24 hours after pick-up. Parking Please park only in the designated parking spots as provided by Owner of the property. There is to be no parking on grass, pine straw, or off-site on the street. Sea Turtles Please do not disturb nesting areas. *Be sure to turn beachfront lights off after dark and only use a red beamed light when walking on the beach at night. *Please take down sandcastles and fill any holes. *Remove unattended beach items at night to prevent hatchlings from becoming entangled. Bicycling *Always ride with traffic on the right side of the road and obey all traffic signs and signals. *Obey pedestrian signal alerts at crosswalks and use hand signals in advance of turns. Beach Regulations Hilton Head Island's official beach season is April 1st through September 30th of each year.
