This has caused some discontent. Also be aware that here, you cannot enter any business or restaurant without a face cover. You may also be required to have your temperature taken, and gel placed in your hands. If you have never been to Oaxaca or The Republic of Mexico before, you are in for an experience. You have to accept that things will likely be very different...perhaps in ways, you did not expect. Things can be very noisy at times in the barrios or neighborhoods. People sometimes like to set off loud fireworks...especially around Mexican holidays. Sometimes neighbors get happy and turn their music up during the day. There are always barking dogs around...although usually, their owners keep them quiet at night. Our advice is...go with the flow as best you can...live in the moment.
