My home in beautiful Paducah offers a clean, relaxing place to stay in a quiet subdivision. It's great for those traveling through for a night or two that just want an inexpensive, but quality place to lay their head, but I can also accommodate those in the area for extended stays. If a second bedroom is needed, I can accommodate for no additional charge, but need to know that when you make your reservation. Extended stays needing 2 rooms with have to book each one separately. The main guest room is a private, carpeted bedroom on the back (non street) side of the house, with locking door, and full, private bathroom next to your bedroom, both of which are on their own side of the house, with my room on the opposite side, separated by a kitchen and living room in between. Your room will have a queen size bed, ceiling fan, closet space, a full length dressing mirror, nightstand with lamp, room darkening curtains, and a desk and chair for any work that needs to be done. It also features a USB wall outlet for charging any device. The private guest bathroom has been completely remodeled and updated from top to bottom. Please note that the toilet is a dual-flush, and has two buttons on the top. The left is for #1, and the right button is for #2. Also, to get the tub to switch to shower, there is a lip on the under side of bath nozzle opening that you need to pull down and rotate clockwise when the water is turned on. There is a second guest room for those travelling together that do not want to share a bed. This private room features a queen bed, two dressers, mirror, ceiling fan, locking door, along with closet space and a USB outlet. This second room is at no extra charge for short-term travelers. However, if you are booking an extended stay (2+ days), and have another traveler with you, each room will have to be booked separately. But you will need to let me know prior to booking so I can activate the listing for the other room. You will have room for a vehicle in the driveway, but can also park on the street near the mailbox if needed. I have just recently finished staining the back deck, and got some patio furniture set up, and it makes for a very relaxing setting in the evenings with the shade provided by the trees in the back. And the back yard is fenced in, so if you are traveling with a dog, it's a great spot for them to stretch their legs after a long car ride. Netflix, Prime, Hulu. Please note that while my listing is set to a flexible check-in time, that does not mean you will be able to check in whenever you want. It will ultimately be dictated by whether or not I have guests checking out that same day. On such days (Mon-Fri), I must clean between reservations once I get home form work, which usually means the earliest possible check-in time will be in the 5-6pm range, but just check with me before or right after booking if you desire a check-in earlier than that, but no promises. Come and go through the front entrance using the code provided. Common areas for your use include the living room with 65" wall-mounted TV (Cable/HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, FireTV Stick and Chromecast), and newly-remodeled kitchen/dining room (help yourself to the coffee/tea kept on the kitchen counter by the Keurig and electric water boiler). Feel free to enjoy the fenced in back yard, back deck, and new paver stone patio with grill and firepit. The laundry room is also available if you need it (for guests staying minimum of 2 nights, but limit to one load per reservation). You can either park in the street or in the driveway, but if you park in the driveway, I use it too, so please leave me space as well. I am not always home during guest stays, but I am always available via call or text. If I am home, I enjoy meeting and socializing with guests, but if that's not your thing, just say so, no offense will be taken. If you have questions about dining or entertainment activites in the area, just ask! Paducah has TONS of sit down and fast food options for dining. I heard (I've not verified) the the city boasts THE MOST per capita in the US. If you like live music and/or cocktails, there are a few bars that accomodate on weekends, and a couple nights during the week. If you want hiking options, I'm your guy. If you're travelling through with a weary canine, I can also lead you to the city's dog parks (one for small dogs, one for big dogs). No additional guests or visitors allowed on the property without my prior consent. Eating is to only be done in the kitchen or at the table on the back deck (no food in bedrooms or living room). Drinks can be taken into bedrooms, but please use the coasters provided.
