"Cozy Mountain Cabin" is stocked with everything you will need for a relaxing weekend, including a gorgeous kitchen with a gas range stove. We have a generously sized outdoor hot tub and a gas fireplace in the living room. The cabin is a two bedroom, the primary bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen size bed and the pull out sofa has a full size bed. Main bathroom has stand up shower. The house is conveniently located just a couple of blocks off of Highway 2, on a plowed road, so that it is easy to access even in the snow. Located in the small community of Grotto, 5 minutes from the historic logging town Skykomish, where you will find a Deli, a Restaurant's, and a Pub. The home is a twenty minute drive from Steven's Pass Ski resort, the best skiing in Washington State. Located in an area with endless opportunity for hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, river rafting, or just taking a picturesque drive. Along with great location and beautiful interior of the home, the views are absolutely phenomenal. Your views from either side of the house are huge snowy mountain peaks. There are plenty of privacy to lounge in the large back yard and in the evening enjoy a fire in the fire pit (please bring your own wood). We have Wi-Fi available in the home, cable TV and Netflix ready to stream; if the internet is being slow (Mountain WIFI) we provide guests with several movies to watch on the DVD-Blu-ray player, and a few games. This cabin truly has everything you need for a Washington mountain vacation! PLEASE read the "other things to note". There is no street parking in the front of the house, but we have a huge parking area! Please park around back, after passing the house turn right on 681st lane. Turn into the gravel with the large wood fence on the right. Also please note there is no parking in the alley or the street, when it snows the plows need to get through, but there is plenty of parking within the fenced area. In the winter it can get quite snowy so we do have our parking area plowed when needed but sometimes you might have a couple of feet to deal with in the parking area. Located in the upper Sky Valley, Grotto is the perfect location for anyone looking to explore the Central Cascades. Our home is located in a small neighborhood, only one block away from highway two. NOTE! You are going into the MOUNTAINS, the weather patterns can be extreme. with high winds, snow, sleet, and rain, the power does go out often, it usually comes back quickly and thankfully we have an auto generator available that powers the whole house including hot tub! Please contact me if it does not automatically kick on. There is a portable air conditioning unit, when temperatures get high you will need to use one of the fans provided to move the air down to the bedrooms. There is a television with streaming services but with "Mountain WIFI" it is not always strong so you cant always get reception. Not ideal for remote working. There are plenty of DVD's available. There is a fire pit for your use, we sometimes have firewood but we would suggest bringing some for your use . Pets are welcome but we do ask that they stay off of the furniture and beds. ( Owner is highly allergic) And that you clean up after them, poop bags are supplied, please dispose them in the large black garbage can outside.
