The Cottage is within walking distance of Historic Downtown Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and the many art and cultural attractions including world famous Zydeco Dancing, antique shopping and a short 5 minute ride to Lake Martin Swamp tour where you will see alligators and more! The 870 sq ft Cottage built in 1893 is completely renovated & full of local art & culture. It's perfect for a quiet get-a-way or for entertaining around the granite island. Small front porch is the prettiest in town! The Cottage Downtown is a two bedroom, one bath retreat! Most comfortable beds in town plus and oversize couch. Large granite island is perfect for gathers of 8 or more! We provide water, juice, coffee and fresh fruit for a continental style breakfast. Many appliances but NO cooking stove. Hebert’s across the street has daily hit plate lunches value priced!! Step back in time in our Clawfoot Tub/Shower and wall sink. A partially fenced in yard adds some privacy for small gatherings. Fire pit located in the backyard for cool nights. Entire House, Yard and Shed. The front porch is the prettiest in town where you can enjoy the morning view, a fresh hot cup of coffee and a cool breeze while rocking in one of two oversize rocking chairs. I can be available most weekends to assist you navigate the area during your stay. In addition, if you'd like to arrange a Kayak trip down the Bayou Teche or on Lake Martin, let me know! I have 4 kayaks and can get you on the water! The Cottage Downtown is located at 311 S. Main within walking distance of St. Bernard Church, Meche's Cajun Market Donut Shop, fine dining, antiques, local grocery store, drive thru Daiquiri shop and more!! You will find less expensive places to stay in town, but none compares to the Cottage!! Guaranteed you'll get every pennies worth and more!! Walking is best option to downtown with many other local attractions within a few miles. We're also available for small gatherings like Baby Showers, Tea Parties, or Girls Night Out!
