Our condo is NOT on the island of Maui. It is located on the island of Molokai. Escape to our beautiful 3rd/top floor condo with ocean views, including views of Maui and Lanai. In whale season, you can whale watch from our lanai! Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen and lovely resort amenities. Molokai is like taking a step back in time, 50 years ago. Molokai is where you can experience the simplicity and peacefulness of “old Hawai’i”. Life on Molokai is slow and relaxed in a rural and peaceful setting. We fell in love with Molokai because it feels like what we always envisioned Hawaii to be! Wavecrest Resort is beautifully situated on the shores of Kaunakakai. We think you'll find the condo to be very comfortable with the king-sized bed in the bedroom, and the pull out sofa in the living room. We have a full kitchen with a coffee maker, dishes, silverware and pots and pans if you choose to cook. There will be travel sized shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap to get you started during your stay. Enjoy your morning coffee on the lanai, with ocean views! If you need to do some laundry during your stay, there is a coin operated laundry facility onsite. If you need to work remotely, we have Wi-Fi and a desk for your use. This is a NO SMOKING unit! Smoking is prohibited in the condo or on the lanai. The complex does not allow smoking in common areas. There are 2 designated smoking areas, which you will see on the complex map inside the condo. You will be given a personalized code to access the condo. This will be available for you 3 days prior to your arrival. You will have access to the entire condo and its lanai. There’s also a community area with a pool, cabana and BBQ for you to enjoy. There’s a coin operated laundry room onsite. You will have one unassigned parking spot onsite. Our condo is located on the 3rd floor, with no elevator. Wavecrest does have sporting equipment to loan out for a $10 deposit. -Tennis rackets & balls -Shuffleboard equipment -Pickleball equipment Renting a car in advance is highly recommended. Uber is now on Molokai. There are taxis, but they are sparse. Alamo is the only car rental company we have used, and it is located at the Molokai airport. Molokai Bike Shop also rents cars. Renting a car from the Turo app may be an option too. There is no public transportation available. Guests have access to one unassigned parking space at Wavecrest and must display parking pass at all times. This condo is NOT located on the island of Maui. This condo is on Molokai. There are no direct flights to Molokai from the mainland. You will need to take a short flight from a neighboring island. It is approximately a 25 minute flight from Maui. You must ascend 2 flights of stairs to access the condo. There is not an elevator in the complex. There are no elevators on the island of Molokai. You must display your parking pass on your rear view mirror and it must be visible. PLEASE BE ADVISED: -All overnight guests must sign in at the front office and submit registration online. The link will be sent after booking is confirmed. -Only use HE laundry detergent in the Wavecrest washers. Laundry Detergent ($1.50) and Wash Cards ($5) are available at the office for purchase. (prices subject to change) -ALL children 3 years and younger MUST wear swim diapers in the pool. This is a health issue and non-compliance is subject to an immediate $100 fine by Wavecrest management. Complimentary swim diapers are available in the cabana.
