The condo is five-star quality following a complete renovation. It has 3 bedrooms, all with A/C units, and 3 bathrooms. Kitchen and bath cabinets are cappuccino maple with elegant granite counters. Tile flooring completes downstairs rooms, lanai, and living area. The loft has the highest quality vinyl flooring. The condo has vaulted ceilings with panoramic ocean and golf course views. The complex has 3 pools, hot tubs, and two private tennis courts surrounded by lush tropical landscape. After a full remodel, our place is one of the highest quality units in all of Kona! The entire condo is light, bright, and spectacular inside with views from the lanai that are second to none. Both master bedrooms feature extremely comfortable full king beds with en-suite bathrooms that include showers and the third bedroom features two twin beds that are perfect for children or friends who would like to share a room. Dinner on the lanai is a special experience; overlooking tropical trees and native flowers, lava rock formations, a manicured golf course, and a stunning view of the majestic blue Pacific ocean! Turn on the ceiling fans, open the sliding glass doors with the screens closed, open the front door with the privacy screen closed, and let the soft and gentle ocean breezes flow through the home - you'll want to relax there all day. Finally, don't forget to head out to the lanai to watch the sunset on the ocean, if you're lucky you may even catch a green flash! Guests will have full access to all rooms in the unit. There is a crawl space closet in the loft master bedroom that is accessible for the owners personal use only. My handyman Dean lives about 5 miles from our condo and will act as primary local manager for any important matters that require same day support. My parents, Al & Linde, are full-time residents of Kona who also live nearby. They will act as backup local managers when they are on island. Of course, guests can always contact me directly on my cell phone for support that they need or questions that they have while they are enjoying their stay at our condo. Our neighborhood is in the Keauhou area of Kailua Kona. The Big Island is vast and Keauhou is an ideal base to explore it from. Guests looking to stay local often enjoy beach hopping along the Kona Coast. Two nearby favorites are Kahalu'u Beach, which offers some of Hawai'i Islands best snorkeling, and Magic Sands, which is loved for sunbathing, boogie boarding and surfing. Both are accessible on foot, but can be reached by car in 3-5 minutes. The Keauhou Shopping Center is kitty corner to our condo and a 5 minute walk. There are restaurants, shops, a movie theater, drug store, bank with ATM, and a grocery store all within the shopping center. Right above the shopping center on Kamehameha III Road is Sam Choy's at Kai Lanai, a fantastic open air restaurant with stunning views! Go down Kamehameha III Road towards the ocean and you'll end up at Fair Wind cruises, where you can book a catamaran trip and fantastic sailing adventures starting from Keauhou Bay along the Kona coastline. There is also the Kona Sportfishing charters in Keauhou Bay. Finally, the condo is on Ali'i Drive where the annual Ironman race is held. Drive north on Ali'i when you leave the condo and head 5 1/2 miles into the center of Kailua-Kona with all sorts of restaurants, shops, and scenery to take in - drive slow as you'll want to enjoy the phenomenal ocean views on this scenic trip into the center of town! The Kona International Airport at Keahole is between 12.6 to 14.1 miles from the condo depending on the route you take to get there. Driving Ali'i Drive is the shorter distance, but being more scenic, it's also the slower route. Driving on Queen Ka'ahumanu Hwy until it becomes Mamalahoa Hwy and then becomes Hawaii Belt Road will take you high above the city of Kailua-Kona where you will want to turn right on Kamehameha III Road, which takes you down towards the condo where it intersects Ali'i Drive. This is the faster route even though it's the 14 mile route. You will definitely want to rent a car to take in all that the Big Island has to offer. Head up North 30 minutes past the airport to Waikoloa Village and the resort area of the Big Island, or even further north to Hapuna Beach State Park and the Mauna Kea resort area, rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world! Maybe you'll want to drive South towards Hilo and the volcano national park, which is a little over a 2 1/2 hour drive. There are many wonderful places to visit on the Big Island, so having a car is the best way to see it all! Guests should make themselves at home and treat our condo like they would there own home - please take special care of our beautiful place. While our wish for our guests is that they create lasting memories with their family and friends, we also would appreciate if our guests honored our wishes to not hold large events or parties at our unit. While entertaining is acceptable, please limit your guests to no more than 6 people per visit. The maximum number of guests allowed to stay at the condo for any reservation is 6 in total, regardless of age.
