Historic Ranch Cabin. Dog-Friendly. Perfect just for you or a small family. We cut no corners with the beautiful western decor, leather furniture, and a fully stocked kitchen with only the best amenities. Hike the landmark rock formation at the Cabin or the trails at the Fossil Beds National Monument just down the road. National forest access is only a few miles away. Local shopping and dining. Plus, it's only a short 40-minute drive to Colorado Springs. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and a place to get away from it all, you have found your Rocky Mountain home. Camp fires are permitted in the fire pit only. Please check if there are any fire restrictions. Colorado is an area of EXTREME FIRE DANGER. If you smoke, there is NO smoking of ANY kind in the Cabin. The bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a leather queen size sofa bed in the living room. There is also enough floor room in the bedroom for two more if you are a close family or good friends! We have an eat in Kitchen that seats 5. The kitchen is fully stocked with beautiful dinnerware, glassware and a full set of quality cookware, pots and pans. We have all the utensils that you may need and a slow cooker as well . Decorated with exceptional western decor. Your dog is also welcome, but please let us know ahead of your arrival. Out back in the private patio area, by the waterfall, we have a large propane grill with all the utensils for grilling. The fireplace, next to the waterfall, is a great place to have a romantic evening or a special family time. We have two Horse pastures with covered stalls and water tanks. Parking is available for your Horse trailer. We can also provide hay for a fee. This must be arranged ahead of time. You are welcome to hike the property and explore the unique granite rock formations. Please use care and limit your exploring to the lower rocks. Each guest will receive a unique door code one week before your arrival and after your final payment has been made. The cabin has one bedroom with a queen sized bed and a queen sized sleeper sofa in the living room. There is one bathroom with a shower and twin sinks. ONE roll of toilet paper is provided per stay. David and Renee are the owners and live across the road from the cabin. David is at the house in the afternoons, taking care of the water features and gardens. If you have any requests do not hesitate to call or text with any needs or activity suggestions Your rocky mountain cabin home is in a very quiet area, away from the sounds and lights of the city. The quiet of the night is captivating. The brilliant night sky is a wonder to see. During the day, you will see wildlife throughout the property. Mule deer come right up to the back door. Wildlife is in abundance. Yet, downtown Colorado Springs is only 45 minutes away, 15 minutes to Woodland Park. The continental divide is 60 minutes to the west and skiing is about an hour and 15 minutes away. There is plenty of parking space available for trailers, RV's and motor homes. For our weekly and monthly guests, we will be providing light housekeeping once a week. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is 2 miles away. This is a wonderful place for Horse trail riding and Hiking, 18 miles south is Historic Cripple Creek. There you will find Gaming, Steam Locomotive train rides, Gold mine tours and many dinning choices. Skiing is just a little over an hour away. Breckenridge or Monarch. Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Copper and Cooper are just an hour and 30 minutes. and there is virtually no traffic! Hiking our nations tallest mountains. There are seven "14'ers" less than 1 1/2 hours away. Most of these are moderate hikes. You can easily drive to any of these , Hike, go to dinner and return home in a day. We'll help you with directions if needed. The largest granite, freestanding natural arch is just 20 miles from here. Harmonica Arch is a great hike in the Lost Creek Wilderness Area. Pikes Peak Highway and Santa's Workshop is only 30 minutes away. Or the Crags trailhead is 20 minutes from the cabin. There you will find a beautiful hike to Devils Playground and on to the summit of Pikes Peak. There many places to go fly fishing, including several Blue Ribbon streams. This area has some of the best Elk, Mule deer and Pronghorn hunting around.
