This is a fantastic beach for lounging around, swimming in the ocean, paddle boarding and other water activities. There are many surf rental shops nearby where you can rent the necessary equipment. This beach does have a lifeguard station for peace of mind. A short walk away, there are some amenities such as restaurants, liquor stores, and an ABC store. A short drive away up and down South Kihei Road are many things like grocery stores, restaurants, and post office. There is a transit system but, We recommend renting a car . There is alot to see that the transit system does not go to ( IE the road to Hana ) Lahaina is a short drive and other attractions.
