You are not part of a neighborhood so you have the full back yard to yourselves with no other cabins in sight. You may hear an occasional person or two at the cabin down the hill but they are secluded to themselves as well. Most of the roads around our area are beautiful winding roads through the countryside. If you plan to go to the Smoky Mountain National Park, plan your route ahead of time. There is no cell service once you are in the park so be prepared with maps or screen shots. Enjoy the scenery and being in nature! Pigeon Forge: 10 miles Gatlinburg: 18 miles Smoky Mountain Deer Farm and Exotic Petting Zoo: 20 miles Cades Cove: 26.9 miles. There are plenty of amazing hikes at Newfound Gap on the way up such as Andrews Bald and “The Jump Off” and also on the way up to Clingmans Dome area. Those less adventurous should at the very least check out the observation tower at Clingmans dome. Driving around the area will be an event in itself. The area is beautiful and nature is abundant. Since you will be in the mountains, a lot of our roads are hilly and some are steep. Our cabin is on a mountain with a single lane shared paved driveway. The road up is steep but the driveway is flat. Your car will not have any trouble getting up and down, but we like to make everything clear up front before you arrive. The view once you get up to the cabin makes the hill worth it! If you are one of the lucky people to see snow in the Smoky Mountains you will need 4 wheel drive to get around. We can not control the weather so there will be no refunds for cancelations due to weather. -All Guest must be 21+ (children with parents are allowed) -8 Humans Max -Private parking for up to 3 vehicles -Quiet time is 11PM -This is a no smoking property. If you smoke inside there will be an extra $500 minimum cleaning fee charged. -As much as we love our furry children, there are no pets allowed at the cabin. If you bring a pet you will be asked to leave immediately and we reserve the right to charge an additional $500 fee. -We provide an initial supply of toilet paper and paper towels but you might need to purchase more if you have a longer stay. -There are bears that live in Tennessee. You may see one during your travels in the Smoky Mountains. If you see one, do not approach it and do not feed them. We want them to remain in nature away from humans and not feeding them helps accomplish that. -There is a bear proof bin that the trash cans are in. Please place your trash in the cans, inside the bin. -The house is on a well. The water is safe to drink but feel free to bring your own if you prefer bottled spring water. -The inside fireplace is shut down April 1st to October 1st and this is standard for every cabin in the area. You can still enjoy the outside fire pit year round! -If you are pregnant or have been drinking, we recommend you do not use the hot tub. -We can not accommodate late check-out or early Check-in. We pride ourselves in having a clean cabin for you to stay in so we must give our cleaning team enough time to do their job in between guests. -If you are late to check out, we reserve the right to charge $2.00 per minute past your scheduled 10AM checkout. -A lot of people have sensitive skin so we ask that you bring your own soaps, shampoos and toiletries. - Our kitchen is stocked with the essential cookware but we do not provide condiments, zip locks, etc. You can pick up your favorite condiments at the local country store, Whaleys, or the nearby Walmart. -Although you are in the woods and there are plenty of sticks around, we suggest picking up a small pile of firewood at the local gas station on your drive in. Bonfires and smores in the backyard are one of our favorite activities at our cabin! -At our home, you can enjoy nature at its finest. We are on a comprehensive pest control program with regular treatments by a local professional but our location means that you may have experiences with critters of the 4, 6 or 8 legged variety. To help ensure they stay outside, please keep the doors closed at all times. -We do not have space for RVs or tailors to turn around in our driveway so we do not recommend bringing them. -The cabin is on a paved mountain road but it is steep. Once you get to the top, the driveway is flat. In the winter, if there is snow, we recommend 4 wheel drive. Office business hours: 8AM-6PM Eastern Standard 7 days per week on Airbnb Messenger only.
