Large Private Campsite on our 3 ACRES WOODLOT, next to a soothing CREEK. Just 20 min to Asheville! FireRing. 2 Bathrooms are a short walk away. (Approx 625 ft) Campers need to bring all necessary gear: Tent. Sleeping Bag. Supplies. Etc. We cannot house campers in inclement weather. By staying here, you are keeping one of WNC's oldest ORGANIC VEGETABLE FARMS sustainable! Campsite is on three wooded acres bordered by a babbling brook with fire ring in a wooded area of our organic farm. Two Bathrooms with shower (one is open-air shower with rock bottom!). Bathrooms are about 625 feet from the campsite. Depending on weather, you can park right next to the site. By staying here, rest assured you are, in fact, helping a small farm survive year to year - and we are grateful to all of our guests, past and future. Guests are welcome and encouraged to walk all 11 acres of our organic farm, including the woodlot, the creek, and the vegetable fields. Access to the greenhouses is restricted due to the possibility of damaging the crops and the restrictions of certification. We are happy to include you in our farm life if we can, or leave you alone to enjoy the privacy. The farm is shared with other guests and farm family. Private secluded 11 acre farm in Hominy Valley, a small valley named after the corn crops that were grown by the indigenous population until the late 1600's. The farm is bordered by Beaverdam creek w/native trout. Splendid views. Serenity is our biggest asset. As one of the oldest organic farms in the area with over 20 years experience in local food and farmer's markets, we are proud that many our best local restaurants purchase their produce from us. While we are secluded and in a rural, country area with other farms around. You might hear cows, dogs, tractors, etc. You will hear frogs, crickets, birds, and other country sounds - as well as the nearby creek. Approximately 15 minutes to downtown Asheville; 5 minutes to grocery stores and other necessities; 10-15 minutes to Interstates 40 and 26; and 20 minutes to the airport in Asheville. You will need a car. Taxi, as well as Lyft and Uber, services are available. Note: You will be a Guest on a Farm. You will likely see a bug. We call dirt soil here, the precious medium for growing food. Unfortunately, it comes in buildings despite best efforts. We appreciate dirt and all living things.
