We are located about 1 hr. from Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park, 2 hrs. from Yellowstone, and 20 min. from Grand Targhee Ski Resort. We provide a free continental breakfast guests can prepare such as bagels, bread, hot & cold cereals, fruit, yogurt, pancake mix, coffee, tea, etc. Please note: No smoking or drinking allowed on property! Important, please read! This beautiful, large private room & bath has a balcony with amazing views. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and a jetted tub for two. It has a queen bed and futon that can be made into a double bed. It is located on the second floor. There is also another private room upstairs and two shared dorm rooms and a private room that all share bathrooms in the basement. This room is located in my home and I and one or more of my sons live here therefore it has the feel of a typical home so may have personal items left out here and there. We do our best to keep the home clean and tidy but since I rent out four rooms it is impossible to always clean up after a guest who may not be so clean and tidy. But most are! :) Our beautiful lodge style log home, called Teton Hostel Hideaway, is situated on 13 acres mostly hidden from all other homes and surrounded by farmland. The home has many covered porches and a patio with tables and a barbeque grill. Guests can mingle in the TV/game room to watch TV and play pool and ping pong. Guests can relax in the great room and enjoy the warmth of the fire & the beautiful view of the mountains. Guests are also welcome to use the kitchen to prepare meals. A fridge is provided for their use. Guests can also do laundry here for $4 a load. I live on the property so will be reasonably available. I do have another property near Yellowstone that I go to sometimes but I or my assistant will usually be available by phone or messaging. Teton Hostel Hideaway is located in the heart of the Tetons just 4 miles east of Driggs, Idaho on the border of Wyoming in beautiful Teton Valley. We are surrounded by farm land with the nearest neighbor about 1/4 mile away. There are many incredible places nearby to ski, hike, backpack, climb, bike, ride horses, canoe/kayak, fish, golf and more! It is only 20 min. to Grand Targhee Ski Resort, 50 min. to Jackson Hole, WY (where there are two other ski resorts), 1 hr to south entrance of Grand Teton National Park and about 2 hours to Yellowstone National Park. There is very little public transportation in this area so guests will need to have their own vehicle or rent one. The nearest airports are in Idaho Falls, Idaho (IDA) 1 1/2 hours away and Jackson Hole Wyoming (JAC) about 1 hour away. It may be more cost effective to fly to Salt Lake City (SLC) or Boise (BOI) and rent a car and drive 4 1/2 to 5 hours. We have quiet hours between 10:30 PM and 6:30 AM. Guests cannot use the kitchen, play pool/ping pong or watch TV in the game room during this time. Breakfast is free but If you want a snack or to take some food for lunch there is a price list posted in the kitchen and a money jar on the counter. You can do laundry in the afternoon or evenings between 4 PM and 8 PM for $4 per load. If you use your own soap it must be HE type soap.
