Our Guest Cottage is a Beautiful Farm house decor. Nestled at the base of the Sierra's and Lake Tahoe, you will find yourself at the heart of NV history. Located mins. from all NV has to offer from fine dining to outdoor activities. Ski, hike, explore, hit the NV nightlife, soak in the spa's at Walley's Hot Springs a mile down the road. At the end of the day, sit on the front porch and gaze over the valley and ponder what Mark Twain and so many settlers thought as they passed by this location. This is not a shared rental. You will be the only guests occupying our cottage. However, the base nightly rental price is for one bedroom/bath and the kitchen and living space. If additional beds or baths are used there is an additional charge. Guests have access to the Cottage and the small front and back yard attached to the cottage. The remainder of the ranch is private property, please do not disturb owners, neighbors or any of the animals. The cottage at Daggett Creek Ranch is a rural ranch setting on the west side of the beautiful Carson Valley Nevada. Over the towering mountains behind lies Stateline Nevada and Lake Tahoe. At the top the mountain is Heavenly North ski area. To the east four miles and beyond the valley meadows are the towns of Minden and Gardnerville, just 10 minutes away. The Town of Minden is the county seat of Douglas County Nevada. It offers convenience shopping and is home of the Carson Valley Inn with gaming nightlife and a great summer outdoor concert schedule. Adjacent to Minden is the town of Gardnerville with two grocery stores and home to the valley's Basque restaurants. To the north of the Cottage and a mile down the road, is David Walley's Hot Springs with fine dining, breakfast and lunch at Harriett's Cafe, a bar with a bar menu and of course , mineral hot springs that date back to 1862. Three miles beyond Walley's, is Nevada's first settlement, Genoa. Mill around the streets, get a bite to eat, visit Mormon Station, the museum or wet your whistle at the famous Genoa Bar. Nevada's oldest saloon. The Cottage is located such that 20 minutes can have you skiing, taking in a live concert or in some remote location in the surrounding mountains hiking or horseback riding. As neighborhoods go, you will find yourself as close to everything as one might want to be. And at the end of the day, quietly tucked away at Daggett Creek. There is no public transportation, you will need to rent a car as this is a very rural area.
