Our place is close to Boquete town, the Valley of Flowers. Did we mention the Volcan Baru VIEW (the largest peak in Panama at 11,398 feet) front and center. Watch the Caldera River meander by and see Boquete's twinkling lights at night from your peaceful, private balcony. And don't forget the great choice of restaurants and the world's best COFFEE! Located 2 minutes from the center of Boquete, but a world away. Because of the altitude, the weather always feels like springtime here! *Please note: This is not a listing for the entire house.* This listing is for 2 private bedrooms and 2 baths, with access to the view terrace, on one side of the house. Our bedroom is on the other side of the house and we share the living area and kitchen with our guests. A continental breakfast is included (toast, cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juice, Boquete coffee, tea). (This space is priced by the number of guests. If you only require 1 of these rooms, we do not rent the 2nd room in order to give you complete privacy) There are 2 other listings for Boquete Cliff House. The 2nd listing is the "Sunrise Room". This rental is for 1 private bedroom and bath with deck, suitable for 1-2 guests The 3rd listing is for the entire 4 bedroom/4 bath house (including the master suite), which we offer on rare occasions. Guests are welcome to share our living room and use our kitchen. And play some pool, too. We can arrange a private pick-up at David Airport directly to our house (about 45 minutes) for $40 (up to 2 persons) Coming for the hiking, birding or zip lining? Want to summit the volcano in Parque National Volcan? We'll put you in touch with the best adventure guides in the area. Interested in becoming an expat? We'd be happy to share our experiences with you and answer your questions. Boquete Cliff House in in Jaramillo Centro. Many of our guests walk into town. It takes about 20 minutes. There is also inexpensive taxi service. We are 11 kms to Volcan Baru National Park. Panama City to Boquete: If you are coming to Boquete from Panama City, you have various options: *Daily 60 minute flights from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) on Copa Airlines or from Albrook Domestic Airport (PAC) on Air Panama to David Airport (DAV), 45 minutes drive from Boquete. We can arrange a private transfer from the airport to the B&B ($30-40 depending on number of people and luggage), or you can take a taxi (about $40) or taxi to the bus station and take the bus into the town center. You can also rent a car from both David airport and in Boquete town. *You can rent a car and drive Panama City-Boquete in around 8 hours. *You can take a comfortable, air-conditioned bus in around 7 hours for approx. $15 per person one way to David, change buses and continue on to Boquete (or take a private transfer or taxi from David - see #1) We have parking for 2 cars. Many of our guests walk into town (it takes about 15 minutes), but it is a steep return trip and you can take a taxi for $1-2. Value Motors is a reliable Boquete car rental company. PACKING • Appropriate clothing for 60°-80° F. (16-28 C.) temperatures (it can get colder in the evenings and the humidity can make if feel even fresher). In other words, for a fresh mountain climate in the tropics: sometimes shorts, sometimes jeans... sometimes short sleeves, sometimes long sleeves... sometimes a sweater, sometimes not. • A rain jacket with a hood (we're in the tropics!) • Good hiking or trekking shoes • Sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat) • A bathing suit (for the rivers, and remember, the beach is just 90 minutes away!) • In Panama we use the same plugs as in North America (110V, 60Hz), otherwise you need adaptors/converters for your electronics. • A digital camera with enough memory space in it (and the charger!), or even better: a video camera • A debit card (for ATMs) with a valid known PIN number and a credit card just in case (do let your bank know that you plan to use your cards out of the country because they could block your transactions as it might not be normal for your cards to be used overseas) • Decent insect repellent (30% to 50% DEET) • Any other thing that you like to have in your normal life (moisturizer, a few good books for reading) We provide towels, soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, candles (in case of power outages), a battery-run lantern and binoculars. Evenings are cool and you may need a light jacket, sweater or windbreaker. We have no need for a heater or air conditioner and many gringos (like us) have moved here because of the eternal spring weather.
